English is my first language. I'm taking Spanish 2 right now in High School, I will probably take 4 years of it.

French is my first, English is second. And now I have German and Spanish classes :imdead:
Also, I prefer English over French.

But why would you limit yourself to only one? When you learn a different language it's not just words, but access to a whole culture and a new perspective that you're acquiring. You're also opening countless opportunities for yourself in practical terms.

I always get confused with this question.
Does first language mean the language you learned first or the language you're most comfortable speaking all the time?
Spanish is the language I spoke first, regardless.

My first language is Spanish. In real life, most people actually have a hard time telling. If I had a dollar for every time I heard "Oh my god, you speak Spanish?" I'd have many, many dollars.

English is my first language.
I'm getting closer to Spanish fluency, but I really want to take another language in college. Not sure which one, though.
