Greetings and a Question

  I stumbled into this forum googling for more information on Mabi's Blacksmithing and found a really useful guide here ^^
  
  No idea what Vindictus is I'm afraid but I've been playing Mabi on and off for at least a year now, since shortly before Merchant became a Destiny if I recall. The emphasis on Life skills from then on is something I've found amazing, I've wanted to be a high ranked Blacksmith pretty much ever since I started and it looks like its a whole bunch easier than its been in the past
  
  Had a quick skim over the rules as I registered and noticed, as expected, linking to various places is generally unwanted (mostly the advertising/recruiting type) and had to wonder if referring to the MabinogiWorld wiki was allowed? I'm sure there's a proper place to ask questions and the like but I figured this would probably do the trick all the same
  
  I dare say I probably won't become an active member of these forums much, mostly I'm here for the guides I've found, but hey, you never know.

  Yes, that's allowed, we link everything to everywhere here. Just don't try to sell stuff or link to inappropriate sites.

  Ruari for me. I joined because of a friend and that's where she was, so naturally I am too, I don't know many people in game yet, but I've haven't really made any effort to interact with people either XD
  
  which is slightly odd for me in a sense, I'm quite the people person, I tend to get along with just about everyone with little to no effort, and yet, for the most part I've ignored the fact that there are other people playing the game
  
  not in a rude, pretending people aren't talking to me kind of way, I just go about my own business, haven't formed a party with anyone, haven't bothered selling or buying from other players short of a few times. My friend keeps telling me I should sell some of the Ingots that I've got stockpiled but I dunno, even though I'm always short on space I just don't want to part with any of it either :P

  Ah, yes; solonogi. Lots of people do that.
  And about the gold, you can buy stuff (I think), but the web shop is down or something like that (I wouldn't know).
  I'm also on Ruairi, so I might cya around. And if you're not using the ingots, you may as well sell some. It's not difficult to get more; just make sure you've got enough for when you need them (plan ahead; for example, if you're not done raising refine, how many ingots will you need to get to rank 1?)

  Vindictus is endless combat; Mabinogi is a world. It depends on your tastes. (I prefer to be locked in endless combat)

  Ah I see. I've already ranked up Refining plenty, its sitting at R2 atm. Blacksmithing on the other hand is only R9. I've been thinking I might put aside some time to rank up Weaving heaps, its sitting at a lowly RD and it seems like I'm going to be needing it a lot. Might sell some of the ingots though, I'll think about next week when I'm not busy moving.
  
  Endless combat ey? well that's got me mildly curious, but as RealityBreak says, Mabinogi is a world, and I really like that. The amount of effort they've put into the non-combat life skills will never cease to amaze me. Most games its just a thing you can do to either help you get better items or get a bit of money, but Mabi makes it so that you can make your entire character around it without caring about other things if you really want to!
