Well, it would be more accurate to say that I've finally gotten back to something I started a while ago.

I'd originally started it without lineart, but it started to feel aimless. I think I'm finally ready to stop using just one layer for everything again. lol;

The head feels off to me; both the shape and placement of the hair.

If you can't be more specific I won't really know how to fix it. I should mention that her hair is actually quite long, and part of it is obscuring a bit of her neck. I just haven't done the lineart for that yet and the sketch isn't something I particularly want people to see. It's really, really...Well, let's just say it would only help me in terms of figuring things out.

Ah sorry about that.
Okay, the hairline looks a bit too high (that or the hair is starting too far in the back), it seems like the back of her head is missing, the part of her torso which connects to her right arm seems to be too far back as well. The drawing and technique is good but the proportion and placement of those things just feels off.

Much easier to understand, thanks.
At the moment, the back of her head is essentially missing. It might or might not look better when I actually finish but I'll keep this in mind.
I tend to draw bangs that basically start near the top of the head so that probably contributes to a bit of oddness. Something like...

or

It's a personal preference and I think it's thrown people off more than once. I don't know if it's just because bangs like that are more unusual here or because I know what I want to draw and I'm just not doing it properly yet. Ahhh~
The line connecting to the arm, I definitely want to fix...but that should be easy.

Elena that's o pretty omg.
I have a small question...if I wanted to say, color it a bit, you wouldn't mind would you? I mean, if that's okay with you!
Just asking, sorry.

You should wait for her to adjust the line art before attempting that.

^Not just that. It's not even close to finished. It's a full-body picture in my mind, for now. I have the sketch layout that way, anyway. It's kind of a character reference in that I want to get a full outfit in there. We'll see.

I think the nose is a bit small, round, and too far to the right. It makes the center of her face look sunken.
The side of the face (profile, I suppose) is a bit too.. continuous? The emphasis on the cheekbones is a bit weak (although that might just be the nose playing tricks). Right where her eyebrow is, you can see the line curving into the top of the head, which (if you continue the line), doesn't meet up with the hairline/scalp/top of head. The extra tuft of hair at the top of the head is also a bit far back, making it seem like her center is at a strange angle. (look at it in relation to the eye).
Regardless, I still love how you draw eyes & the wings are really well done!
*edit
last thing is the neckpiece that's kinda bugging me. The right side (which is further away), is longer, and reaches too far to her far shoulder.

Oh nonono I didn't mean now, gosh!
It's up to her if she even lets me at all! I don't mind, I just like coloring stuff sometimes.

Jesus christ Elena, you art just keeps getting better and better.
Not all artists improve, some sort of flat line, but that's definitely not the case with you.

Thanks for the helpful critiques. I'll take them into consideration when I start working on this again. Right now I'm pretty tired so I think I'll just be chasing sheep on Mabinogi. Luckily these are pretty minor fixes. The most annoying thing to deal with will probably be the hair but that shouldn't be horrible.
I'm glad people like the wings, because it's been forever since I actually sketched, let alone drew any, and I haven't done lineart in forever. It's so easy to draw really awkward-looking wings. I have to keep glaring at them to make sure I like them.
The line on the neckpiece, I think I know exactly what I did wrong. I drew the line connecting from the bottom to the hair at the wrong angle. Meep. I think the sketch for that line was actually more correct so I can probably use that as a reference point.

I'll definitely let you know when I make up my mind. Haha. I don't know yet. Maybe I can start making characters with no colors and see what people come up with.

Aw, thank you. <3
I think this is slowly getting easier for me the more I figure out what I like about my style, and what my style even
is. I still have a long way to go but I'm glad I haven't flatlined, at least. lol.
