It's really not as bad as people say.
The Walking Dead = Everyone dies

From what I've heard in both games, Lee Everett went out like a champ in the Walking Dead series, being on borrowed time anyway. Shepherd pushed an "everyone dies" button. Y'know, while we're in the business of heavily simplifying game endings and removing all context from them. That said, you are right that the ME3 ending outcry was reaaaaaaaaally excessive.

I thought people hated the ME3 ending because it made no sense to the rest of the plot/theme/game universe or something. :U
