Patch not working

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. So I recently had to reinstall mabi and I've been having a ton of problems getting it to work. I downloaded the setup and ran the client, let it patch, but the game start is still greyed out. When I try to run it on steam, I get the intallation path is invalid error. The setup actually installed client ver. 101, which I think is an old version? If I get a more recent version, would it work? And if so, where do I get one?

EDIT: Now I'm getting "the installation path is invalid" error again.

The greyed out start button is a somewhat common problem that I've seen quite a few people here post about. O.o From what I remember, getting the language file from the FTP yourself and replacing the one in the client solves the issue? I'm not sure why that's supposed to fix anything, but you can try by downloading 132R's 132_language.p_, rename the extension to .zip, extract language.pack from it and put it in your \Mabinogi\package directory. Sometimes the issue just goes away on its own?

When you downloaded the installer initially, did you get 128R?
If the above weird fix doesn't work, you could try patching from the older 114R. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Or you could try uninstalling and reinstalling 128R again. @_@

No clue about the installation error via Steam, though. Never used Mabi with Steam.

Actually, I got the installer from the site and the one I got was 114R and that's the one I've been having problems with. The language.pack thing didn't work and I'm trying the 128R one now. I'll let you know if that works.

EDIT: FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK! I tried 114R again and used the language.pack you sent and now it works. Thank you :D
