Return of the annoying gacha menus.
Does anyone seriously care that everyone's getting dyes?

Event? What event? People still have to spend NX. That's not an event.

The recycled tower defense event minus the good prizes.
I'm not even going to do it because in order to actually get anything good from it you have to spawm the gach for a cake.

The event is so bad that Nexon are just going to plant a greater seed of hate within the loyal player base. After all the bad stuff we been through lately it's rather insulting. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the players quit. If I was unfairly banned for over a month and came back with no apology I would want to have a worthwhile event. Instead they turned last year's event into a cash grab.

That sounds terrible. I wasn't around during the previous Christmas event, but after reading this I'm glad I didn't bother trying this year's one.

Well, on the bright side - you can get the Snowballer titles from this. It's an easy +1 title for anyone who wasn't here last year.
Otherwise, it's a pretty bad event. Someone on the Nexon forums estimated the rate of cakes from boxes to be about 0.5%, or average of 200 boxes for a cake.

Stop calling this an event. This is not an event. An event would be something that the playerbase as a whole community would participate together, not as a small group or as an individual with NX fees. This is a minigame with another cash item. Contests are more of an event than this is.

Sounds like somebody's butthurt.[/SIZE]
It doesn't happen every day, and by gaming definition, that means it's an event. The fact that it requires a NX-gachapwn item is bullshit, but doesn't make it any less of an event.
Everyone can see who's getting what so that we can see who spends too much money on the game. I saw somebody who opened at least 40 boxes. There was no cake.

They have gacha items in the depot 24/7, and they just decided to add another one temporarily for Christmas. That makes it infinitely less of an event.

By gaming definition, having it require an item that is in a
temporary gachapan, and thus,
doesn't happen every day, makes it infinitely more of an event.

We can at least agree this is a pathetic excuse for an event.

Okay, so uhh... We don't get to do 24 man raids every day. That makes it an event raid then.

Completely missing the point. 24 man raids are a 3 time/week persistent thing. They'll never go away. This event however shitty it is will go away after the holidays.

Christmas never goes away either. Events can be weekly too, not just annually. This is not an event.
