Hey everyone, it's me, Santa Cirno, and I'm here to give you some good news. You all know what time of year it is, right? That's right, it's Cirnomas... I mean Christmas. And with Christmas comes presents, which everyone loves. However, some people feel left out, and don't get any presents. And I have the solution for that!
SECRET SANTA!
"What's secret Santa?", you might be asking right now. Well, I'll explain it for you. What it is, is where you will be given a name of a fellow Nationer. It is then your responsibility to get a gift for that person, without them knowing that you are the one given them the gift until it is time to open the presents. Sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't, and in fact, it's a lot of fun! The suspense of knowing that you'll be getting a present, but you don't know what your getting, or even who's giving it!
However, because of the nature of the community, there are some rules that need to be put in place:
1. If you sign up for this, please be generous and actually get a gift for the person you're supposed to. This event is for people that are willing to actually give a gift to, potentially, a complete stranger, it's not something for you to just come in, get something for free, and then run away. If I find anyone that received a gift, and redeemed it, but didn't get a gift for the person they were supposed to, the prepare to face some consequences. I'll have to work it out with the staff, but considering that what you're doing is scamming, both the person you were supposed to give a gift to, as well as the person who gave you a gift, I'm fairly certain that the punishment will be pretty bad.
2. Keep the gift within the price range, which is $10-$20. We don't want anyone getting any favorable treatment compared to everyone else. Why would it be fair for Jimmy, who only got a $10 Applebee's gift card, while Henry gets a copy of Guild Wars 2? If we keep the prices of the gifts relatively the same, then nobody will complain that they got a crappy gift compared to someone else.
3. No physical* gifts. Unless you know that the person you're supposed get a gift for is within driving distance for you to go to their house, give them their gift, and make it back to your house before dinner, then chances are that the person's gift won't make it to them in time for Christmas. So try to make things you purchase for them digital, for example, NX or a game off of Steam.
*By physical, I mean things like teddy bears, jewelry, and the like, things where the value of the item is something you hold in your hands. You can buy NX cards, since the code is the important part, not the plastic part.
4.Please be patient. Remember, it is Christmas time. A time where people should be spending with their families and friends. If you don't get your gift first thing in the morning, please don't cry that the person didn't get you a gift, because the person could be out having dinner at their grandmother's house, after going on a traditional trip to a large hill to go sledding.
And most importantly, have fun. This shouldn't be an exercise of your detective skills and getting the perfect gift, and it is possible that you may give the person something they already have, or something that they might not like. But at the end of the day, you should be able to go to bed with a smile, because you know that you put a smile on someone else's face, because they got a gift that came from the heart.
So let's do this folks. Let's make this a wonderful Christmas for the community and use it as a way to further bond with one another!
Whoops, well I gotta go. The frogs aren't going to freeze themselves to become tree ornaments.

Alright, now that is out of the way, I guess this will be for signups and the like. I will be listing everyone that wants to be a part of this, just so I can have a small database of who's doing it and can use it to assign people to everyone with as little problems as possible. So while this may show who your potential Santa is going to be, you ultimately won't know since all you have to go on is a list of names.
Also, I'll be having signups go until Saturday, around 12am Eastern, upon which I'll be going through and assigning people by Sunday morning. This way, it gives people two days to signup, but it also gives them two days extra to find a gift for someone.
Participants:
Mythical Dectective Loki X
Hannibal
Cannibal
Skye
Episkey
Okami
Lan
Kingofrunes
teneshi
Also, I will take any comments, suggestions and questions here if there is something you can think of that can improve the event to make it better for everyone. Thanks.
*EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that I overlooked something. I'm also going to need Steam names of everyone, just in case the person who's giving you a gift decides to buy you a game on Steam.
