Because I just got the English patch working for the HK version. My question: Why did I not know this existed a year or two ago? (also sad there's no native English version yet)

Very few online games are good but point and click does not in my opinion automatically make a bad game. Though mabi will obviously still be better.

from me, no. But they're out there along with walkthroughs and the like.
Here's a transformations vid for example.

And here's some random pvp

In any case this game just solidifies my making myself learn Mandarin.

I'm honestly more surprised that Japan doesn't even have their own server yet, even though the game's been out in Korea for a couple of years now. The fact the game has been in development for a while, and there has yet to be any official announcement of a global/North American server aside from "we're planning on it" has kind of kept motivation from playing the game, but if there are people here that are actually playing, I'll probably pick it up. And since the story in this game is actually more canonical than DBGT, considering that Toriyama has pretty much complete creative control over the game, that really had me interested once upon a time.

Once I have mandarin down enough to that I can read at least partially what a quest wants me to do, I'll resume playing. It took me a half hour to figure out it was asking me to drag and drop a skill to a slot where the skill already had a hotkey at. Also, even without being able to understand what it was asking the tutorial was annoying in the beginning as it wouldn't even let me move the character until it got to that point in the tutorial.
Upsides; movement controls are good, despite using a library's internet and being ~12,000km away from the servers or so there was very little visible lag, and as far as I've understood from the dbocom forums the story is decent (better than D&D Online but not Mabinogi level) Plus, there is just something to jumping on a giant cute chipmunk and point-blank kamehamehaing it to the face.
But yeah, it is quite surprising that at least Japan doesn't already have a server, let alone a NA/global English server.
