Right...so... this is weird.
I have been playing mabinogi and maplestory at my school for a while now, so it shouldn't be a problem... but I came back to school, and went through the same routine of proxy avoidance, logging on, etc, etc to try and log on to mabinogi. I tried to log in through the site, and it gave me the "IP/location banned" message.
What do you guys recommend I do?
Is it my time to quit mabinogi/ nexon?
I sent a ticket, so I guess I should just sit tight.
I guess I already have my answer, at this point, I'm just looking for the opinions/ support of the Nation's community.
Hope you guys had an enjoyable New Year's Day/week.
EDIT: What is even weirder is that Nexon sent me emails telling me that my account has been accused of suspicious activity and that it was locked... and keeps prompting me to change my password; however, after I change my password, I'm given the same IP Banned message...Have i been, for the first time in my life, hacked?

The only thing I could think of is someone else at your school that plays Nexon games doing something to cause a location ban.

Should probably tell that person (or group of people) to stop hacking/botting Nexon games while in class. You should avoid using public internet to log onto Nexon accounts or any game accounts.
I guess you can try to explain the reason, not that Nexon will listen. Have you tried any other locations?

Too many people from the same location/IP playing mabinogi at the same time causes that type of automatic IP ban. It's permanent.
They never reply to your tickets/info submissions about this issue. All you can do is play mabinogi from a different IP/Location.
The reason you're getting "your account has been locked..suspicious activity... etc" is because you're logging on from a banned IP/Location. Every time you log on from there, you will receive the same e-mail. You can only change your password and unlock your account properly from an IP/location that isn't banned.
If the above does not apply, then you're using a proxy or proxy/vpn software such as Hotspot shield. Such things are IP blocked and will result in the same issue.

It's as radionoise said. Think about it--if you use a proxy to connect, then Nexon sees you connecting from that proxy's IP. Connections from that IP can then be blocked for any one of several reasons, and that will affect everyone who uses this proxy.
Go find a different proxy.

This is strange...it seems if I log in through the website, and then run the proxy program... I can log on to maplestory. Haven't tried it for mabinogi, but I assume I can do the same, since the log-in procedure operates in the same fashion for both games.
Well...I've tried various proxies, but most won't operate. Hotspot shield stopped working for me just out of the blue once, so I switched to OpenVPN/ Private tunnel.
