Kingston Announces Their First 1TB Flash Drive

  I have two seagate external hard drives. One is about the size of my phone and fits in a pocket, though I wouldn't recommend putting hard drives in a pocket. It holds 512GB and runs off USB power, so its very convenient to carry around in my backpack or whatever. I'm not sure how light you travel so if you have a habit of literally carrying only your laptop around I suppose it wouldn't work out, but it really is no different from carrying a mouse around.
  
  Then I got the big bulky tower one that holds 1.5TB and needs its own power source. I shove all my animus in it.

  just for storing 1080p Bluray anime/TV series episodes (Walking dead, Dr. Who)
  other than that
  not even games take up that much storage

  Well, I don't like laptops so small that I could snap it in half with my bare hands like Osay, so external hard drives work perfectly fine for me.
  I suppose this is neat though it will probably be overpriced.

  My laptop is made out of aluminium or some similar kind of very light metal. It's more solid than my old laptop that feels like 10 pounds.

  Can't get even remotely excited about this. It's going to be way too expensive for me to try to give it any reasonable application.
  
  Maybe it'll be nice for me to have for backups, but even then I'd rather plug in a cheap external.

  I'd argue they're way different. It's infinitely easier for me to copy 100GB to a flash drive and carry it over to a laptop or whatever than it is for me to upload 100GB on my crappy sub-1 megabit upload connection and then redownload it.
  
  I upload 1GB+ files every single day on this connection and it's torture. It would literally take months to upload 1TB.

  The videos I've made add up to more than 1TB. And they're the kinds of things I tend to let sit around unused after I've done what I want with them. I'd delete them, but I want a guaranteed original copy as I'm not relying on the internet to keep my stuff around.
