Angel's Tera dump.

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. The textures on the people look nice but the actual detail of the trees is terrible... polygons man... not enough which is why sooner or later game companies will spend the huge ass amounts of money to eventually use this...

Edit: turns out it's REAL* but
it can't be done legitely with animations and rendering as the amount of storage required to create a legit game out this tech would be something around 512 petabytes as Notch is talking about it for an island in the demo, turns out its not knew just very very very unlikely to be used for gaming at this point..

either way not a fake.. just not usable for gaming for most things..

... well we can always be in awe of these if not 2 of the engines are a little old now in their debut, but still gonna be used prob somewhere down the line in 2013

Like the Heaven benchmark tool shows.
Tera looks amazing for an MMO, but it runs on DX9 so yeah, the ground and such are not as great.

The Secret World uses DX11 and is currently the best looking MMORPG out there. However Tera's world design and character looks beat anything currently out there. IMO

I don't know man, Guild Wars 2 looks great in terms of graphics.

They also have day/night as opposed to some very very ugly maps in TERA that stay night/day the entire time.
