:whoops: Mnnn :3 I just decided to make a notepad from looking around most places with easy spawns, when you reach one of these spots i recommend channel surfing til your done with that spot :3 my description is a lil vague >u>;; but hey im giving you alot of spots 8D btw i also recommend whenever you pick up money immediatly put it into a pet :P because if you cc (change channel) too fast you'll lose exp and money >u>;; going through all these spots will take about 5~7 hours depending on mounts, lagg, etc. :hot2:
The Black Wolves, Grey/Red Foxes, Dire Wolves found from the Path leading to Ciar. Found many there too..
In Tail, The Graveyard. Bears can sometimes be found Ancient, as well for the Black Dire Wolves.
Path Leading to Bangor. Instead of heading directly through the statue patch, head around. Might find a few.
Its where all of those Kobold Bandits hang out, along with the trolls. I found some fat ones there.
Sen Mag, Everywhere. Find all of the bear spots people rarely hunt. I found Ancient bears along with the White Bear Field Boss.
I usually find mine on the cliff north to Vales, between the Lizard and Sandworm mark in Connous, or (like said before) Ant Hell.
Black and white kiwis in Rano.
desert bears connus(filia thinige by the rhinos)
white spiders emain macha
Solea
Scathach Beach/Cavern
Young dingos above vales mana tunnel above the cows ; brown dingos to the left of the hil by the young dingos
right of the swirly mark top left of vales ; yellow ostrich above the sella beach name hugging the mountains (Ch1 big spawn wave)
possible spot top left corner of vales hugging mountains wolv creatures ; inbetween double LL in Sella Beach at the top of the LL white fox
bears south of sella beach, south west of the mana tunnel ; bears under each in sella beach
Deep Tunnel (kinda like ant hell)
wolves north west and south west of penguin vales
black buffulow by Reus River by the i
nubes mountains tunnel line
foxes by the top left of "r" Reus river ; also the dingos around there
above the sun mark in rano the lizards
kiwis by quila base camp if you fly you'll see a small patch of land you can land on by he cliffs north east :o and there you can find em
thats all of em :3 happy hunting! :birthday: (i can add more spots later if you really want me too xD like karu forest but the trees get in the way and can be abit too spread out for hunting and be annoying epecially if your grinding :pissedoff:
(nd oh yah o wo i dont remember most of the animals names >u> but if you cant understand what i meant im sorry ; -; please live on)

Good try, but I'm sorry to say that a "guide to ancient hunting" isn't something that's really needed.
The way to hunt ancients is to go where no one needs to.

The point is that a guide to hunting ancients is extremely self-defeating. If you tell people where to ancient hunt, then there will be no more ancients there, then your guide is useless.
To find ancients: go where no one goes. That's it.

This guide is completely unnecessary.
Anyone can find ancients spawn spots when they know the 5 hours rule.

lol @ all the people complaining. xd
Good job with the guide, and thank you for sharing the knowledge. I know enough people who are indeed quite clueless on where their best chances for finding ancients are.

I just don't think that it takes that long to surf all the channels of those spots. You have some good ones on there, but ancients cole by really easily when everyone is still asleep, huhu.
Thanks for writing this guide for those who don't know where to start. Cx

I'm afraid I'll have to be an ass and also state that this guide is nearly useless.
The reason for this is because a guide is meant to give you MORE INFORMATION, so that you can "do something" or "get something" much more reliably than if you didn't look at a guide.
However, Ancient hunting is not only based on whether or not you can find the mob, but also on your luck. As you probably know, there are players who hunted ancient monsters for 2 hours straight, only to find nothing, or some people killing two ancients to get a HLB from one and a Thames Armor from another.
Because of this variability, I cannot say that a guide can be "useful" in any sense.
Just saying, in addition, that in Tarlach, the gnus over in Rano spawn in completely different areas around the Maiz Prairie, over different channels, so once you change channels, you actually have to rotate your camera or move around a bit to find the next "group" of monsters, which you "THINK" may have an ancient or two in it, so you can have a very SLIGHT possibility of obtaining a rare item.
