About lancer. I'm currently level 31 and I'm not sure what skill order I should go for? I mean when I'm not usually stuck in stand fast with all the mobs on me and trying to get in some shield counter and throwing my taunt every time I can.
Or well to make the question more general; anyone got lancer tips?
Basic combos:
Shield Bash > Onslaught > Shield Barrage > Spring Attack > Wallop
Shield Barrage > Spring Attack/Wallop (or Spring Attack then Wallop also works)
Shield Bash > Onslaught
Charging Lunge > Lockdown Blow (you can shield cancel the charge to use lockdown right away too, this is more for chasing)
Beware and feel free to intercept with Shield Cancel/block in any of these combos, should you be fighting a boss and your stun didn't land or whatever/he's about to hit you.
Tips:
Hoping you should've learned how to use shield cancel efficiently by now (if not, then its REALLY important to master this as a lancer), you can use your basic combo attack + shield cancel to move around (basically do the first hit > cancel > first hit > cancel > etc)
Same goes for Shield Barrage, which is a great skill because you can swift your screen in different directions while hitting it (I usually like to shield counter and then use this when I'm mobbing, its great to deal damage to monsters around me). And you can also use this skill to set up Wallop or something; move behind enemies, etc.
Challenging Shout I guess its pretty obvious, just gather the aggro to protect your team. Second Will I mostly use to regain my resolve rather than healing, and Iron Will I do use occasionally too.. not really much importance for this skill to me, since I can block at right times fairly well.
Hmm, I find lancer a fairly simple class to play with. I can solo any BAMs I've come across with, and really all it takes is a couple of practice to learn their patterns and block at right time. Try soloing a few and you'll find yourself getting huge exp from them if you can kill it 'fast' enough. Same goes for dungeon bosses (since its pretty much the same pattern as BAMs) except that they have a trick or two, but then you also got a healer backing you up.
They have plenty of good guides on their forums, too: http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums/lancer
You should take a look at them.
