My main concern isn't so much how women can perform or how they would be treated by their male colleagues, all that can be solved easily with internal rules and regulations in the military.
I'd be more concerned about the enemy. Female prisoners of war surrounded by an enemy army of men who probably have not been laid in a long time.
That can't end well.

well, the concern of abuse is something that's mutual between males and females. there are been pretty gruesome abuses that have happened to male POW's with other male POW's...it does bring up a conundrum though

I just hope that they don't lower the standards to make it easier for women to qualify, they should be forced to pass the same kind of test that men can.

...but they already do that.
which to some extent is fair, women and men differ physically. there's no way they can ever have a 100% equal fitness test.

Well there's those scary bodybuilder women who look like they can rip men in half... but I don't think they go to the military.

Another reason I heard was that society wouldn't tolerate a war much if they hear of many females dying. Anyone agree with this?

There's already lots of civilian females, not to mention children, dying every day in the countries being invaded.
So I'm not sure how much of a valid point that is.

Civilians should stay the fuck out of this discussion, imo.
The implementation of the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy wasn't just needlessly complicated, it was a crying shame.

The government is quite good at needlessly complicating things. Fucking bureaucrats, man.
