One of the things that caused me to get bored of the game is that you couldn't dig very deep. In the gameplay yes it's "deep" but it's not too dificult to dig all the way down or anything, and once you do there's no more challenge. I make one long mine shaft that goes as straight down as possible, takes a couple hours depending how lucky I get with no vast empty chambers or lava. Once I have that I can explore the entire underground fairly easily by making more shafts left or right.
If there was some minecraft-like infinite terrain generation for vertical directions this game would have lasted me much longer than ~2 weeks.

I would like waves on the shore lines of the beach, and maybe islands when you go out far enough, islands just as big as the one you start off on. :D
(boats and space ships too)

If you don't mod yourself a 9999999 attack weapon, there are plenty of challenging t-config mods that'll give you some nail-biting moments.

I think it's pretty dumb the update is exclusive to consoles.
I would have totally paid for DLC on the PC, I'm not buying it again on my PS3.

Why pay for dlc? It's pretty easy to whip up mods and make your own mobs, armor, tiles, weapons, ANYTHING with t-config.
