Also, which level 70 staff should I be looking out for when S2E2 comes out? There's like four of them. Crown staff?
[S]Is there even any Lv. 70 staffs right now? I can't find any on the Marketplace.[/S] I'm dumb.
So between three staffs which ones do you guys think is the best?

Crown Staff is 80.
Royal Bird is the cheapest, but Joyous Crook is better in pretty much every single stat. You can get Seal Maker if you want some supporting stats, but most people lean towards the Joyous Crook regardless. It'll also be cheaper since an Elch Tear is cheaper than the total mats for an Ep10 weapon.

Ehh, I've heard different Invertex. The small attack increase vs the 4 speed and crit make people lean towards the Seal Maker. What are the prices of stuff on East anyway? Here, Manuscripts are 80-90mil, Divine Tear is 50-60mil and the Giblet Pouch is about 15-20mil. I still think Tears are 300+mil.

Given the choice, I would also take a Seal Maker unconditionally.

Well I rushed that post, but I meant S2E2 sealshop wise. An Elch Tear is 340 or so Seals, each individual E10 mat is about 115, and you need 4.
And raw Att is pretty much always better, 260 M.Att is not small in the slightest. If we want to take raw numbers, 4 Speed = 2% increase in DPS. Even at the 10k cap, 2% would still only be 200. In other words, the M.Att > Speed in raw numbers.
Now critical is a lot more complicated to write out, so I won't do the pure numbers comparison. But I have read that with maxed out Magic Crit, you only need like 45 or so Crit to cap out against S2 bosses. The numbers might be wrong, so don't quote me on that, but if that is the case then you'd only need a Hateful + Master to cap Crit, meaning the extra Crit is useless.
Now ignoring even that part, I'm going to estimate that you'll be around 16k M.Att with a full WB/F set and a +10 H/DP Joyous Crook or Seal Maker. You're not capped on some of the earlier raids (not even Ingkells), you're only 5k over the S2E2 Lakoria and Havan values, and 2k over the S2E2 Kraken head value. 6.5k over the Dragon/Lionotus value.
In the 5k case, that 260 M.Att acts as a 4% boost in damage, in the Kraken case of 2k that acts as an enitre 10% boost in damage. Even on dragons that's still around 3% extra damage.
Raw Att/M.Att is pretty much the best way to go right now, in nearly every situation sans Scythes and Hammers.
Now of course being better with only numbers doesn't necessarily mean it'll feel better, nor does it mean it'll be better in practice. But yeah.

Speed doesn't work like that, first of all. It becomes less and less useful as you get more and Evie has a reason to use Fast with proper scrolling.
Critical is really important for DPS. I don't know how much would be needed to cap, but I do know (unless the cap was lowered) Evies won't hit the cap.
It's hard to measure what the difference between one and the other would be without full stats, but with WB/E and all that, there is literally no reason to take 260 magic attack over 4 crit and 4 speed unless you're hardly even touching the cap. Even 2K is a decent bit over. And what about trans? Stims? etc. Those are less important, but just throwing that out there.
(EDITED OUT): Let me find that last part. I know I did the math at some point.

The first two things you bring up are both reasons to take Joyous Crook, but anyways.
And I did say that purely with numbers, I never said that it'd be the case in practice. I do highly doubt you'll hit 20k though. Full Enthusiastic even on chest is only +1.5k, and Staves are on the lower side of the Att averages (about -200), so you'll have to contend with that. Honestly I think they're interchangeable and you should get whatever's the easiest to get/looks the nicest.
Joyous Crook would still be better against Havan, Lakoria, and Kraken even if you hit 20k though. At 17k, Seal Maker surpasses Joyous Crook on every E9 and before boss, at 20k that's when it's better on Lionotus and dragons.
I think it's more likely you'd hit 18k. In which case it's still not a clear cut winner on a few important raids and still loses on 3 S2 raids.
[S]We all know Staff Evie is just corona tier anyways now[/S]

Seal Maker actually has both crit
and speed. It seems like you think Joyous Crook has attack and crit <.<
Where did you get the info that it's only better at 20K?
Damn, the DB's item comparison tool thing is somewhat broken for displaying the attack... I'll figure out a way to show this and send it to you or something ;__;

I misread is as isn't, whoops.
And even 200% of 0 is still 0! I'm exagerating, but yeah. Crit is only an arbitrary boost unless you're Lann. I don't think it's as important as you think it is.
But I'm doing it with boss Def values. 20k - 9.6k = 10.4k = Capped = More Att isn't helping.
The rough/lazy percentage thing is above, so yeah.

RebeccaBlack wrote on 2013-02-04 07:01
Oh...
But yes, it does help. Besides the other gains that come with criticals, having more over the cap causes criticals to do a lot, much like having attack over the cap. You'd have to really be hurting to be over the cap for it not to (more than 2K in this instance, imo). If you absolutely must get attack, drop Master and use Enthusiastic. 5 crit for 282 magic attack and 6 balance vs 4 crit and 4 speed for 260 magic attack.
But if it's just a "money in the future" thing then do whatever. It doesn't really matter.

So. . Which staff is better? Haha, have you guys reached an agreement yet or. . ? It'll be awhile until I reach Lv. 70 so yeah.
Btw, is it just me or do the dragons feel really anti-Evie, just this whole new addition of enemies. I'm having a really hard time with a lot of these raid bosses, since Mana Amber can't even BLOCK half of their attacks. It's just really frustrating, and Staff Evie doesn't really have the best dodge, Flying Sparrow doesn't even give a small window of invincibility like Sword Lanns get. Also I'm getting absolutely demolished with the second ship boss, the dead captain or whatever, he OHKOs me. ):
MAN I JUST FEEL LIKE I SUCK SO MUCH AFTER NOT PLAYING FOR SO LONG. My shitty Internet doesn't help either, I should just play with direct Internet next time.
Any tips on how to deal with these poopheads? Like Keaghan is pretty easy, I'm having trouble with the electric dragon the most. .____.

For Siglint? Stay.Mobile. That's the best advice I can give. Most of the new bosses are anti some class, because they have unblockables that ignore the conventional means of dodging for each character. I say always being willing to move whenever you think Siggy might lay down some circles. I'd say a Scythe would perform better against the dragons for the most part.
Now, you say you're getting owned by Mad Willy Flint, also known as Cursed Captain? Uhh. . .to be honest, I'm not surprised. Willy is one of the biggest trolls I've ever faced in a game period. I recommend you use Ironhide stimulants honestly. The problem comes after you get him to 5 bars. At that point, he'll enter rage mode, and can spam the shockwave up to 8 times. Around 5-6 if it's 50-69. You dodge it by jumping over it. Also, you ever notice those black shuriken like things he sends out? He'll do mutliples of that to in rage mode. Just be glad you didn't have to do 70-80 Willy. . .Jesus.

It's actually a really nice tactic, I abused it a bit when doing some silly solo runs for quests.
But yeah, most bosses are a complete pain in S2. Partying up wouldn't be a bad idea.
As for the staff thing, we're both still disagreeing. But really what we're arguing probably is so minor that you could get either and not really notice a huge difference in numbers - we just like arguing about min-maxing in this game. Just get the one that's cheaper or looks better, just try to avoid the Royal Bird Staff if you care for stats because the Joyous Crook is just flat out better, and this isn't even subjective. Even then, you'd still 'only' lose ~140 MAtk from the Joyous with every other stat being the same.
As for dragons, they're really pro-mobility more than anything. Siglint is an interesting case though, he has so many blind spots it's insane. If you stay under him, there are literally only three moves that can hit you, and they all are telegraphed by a decent bit. If you don't know how to arrow hop, it could probably help to learn that.
Really you should be able to get through the battle with sparing use of Amber, as with good positioning you will never need to use it over a hop. His double headbutt charge can be avoided by hopping to the left, or using Amber. Him slamming the ground and firing a bolt of electricity I think can be Ambered, if not it can be avoided with a backwards hop. His two part electricity breath can be avoided by going under him, his tail swipes can be avoided by going under him (telegraphed by him looking behind him). His lightning circles have two varieties, a default one where you can avoid it by being under him, and a homing one that'll lock onto a few people and will require you to move to get out of it - sprinting alone should be enough to move out of it if you're on your toes. His flying grabs can be ambered and his flying electricity is probably the worst part about it.
So in general just be under him and be ready to move. Evie can hop out of nearly all her animations fairly quickly, so make sure to abuse that.
Though yes people like Scything the dragons a bunch, but it's really not that bad to Staff on them. It probably requires a bit more effort though.

Hop cancel. Press space immediately after pressing magic arrow and you can jump pretty fast. I might write an Evie guide one day to help with stuff like this ._.
This will allow you to get out of it 100% of the time on reaction unless several stack up behind you (or you mess up the keypresses).
Really you should be able to get through the battle with sparing use of Amber, as with good positioning you will never need to use it over a hop.
You need to use it when he charges if you're staying under him.
