To ensure lag doesn't screw you over at any point, you'd actually need 5 nimbuses. 4 breaks even with disarm, but is subject to cutting it too close.

Just go overboard, and have like 10 Nimbus Clouds. Never have to worry about cutting it close or anything. Yay NX spam.
Although, if you max enough skills ranked, transformation isn't worth all that trouble...

The only dungeons that would make disarm really useful are dungeons that can knock you out of it pretty easily.

Paladin wins damage wise (for the 6 minutes they can be in trans), but dark knights can have infinite transformation (With 4 cloud pets, you can have infinite trans, disarm is -10 hp/sec 60*10=600. Cloud recovery=150 upon summon, and ofc 150*4=600.) So overall, we have the better damage output if you want to look at it as damage over time.
Stop thinking paladins have a trans timer cap of 6 minutes.
REALLY TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING PALLY CAPS AT 6 MINUTES. Jesus.

I never said it caps at 6 minutes. That is just the standard time of both transformations, I know it can be extended with reforges.

I think he meant without reforges.
It's not just paladin that lasts more than 6 minutes either, it's probably all trans. Beast Lord lasts 7:10 for me at 104 rbs and age 17.

Definitely meant without reforges.
Wiki says this.
The Paladin transformation time varies with age and number of rebirths. It lasts approximately 2.5 hours of in-game time to begin with, and can be only used once per "day." The transformation counter resets at 6:00 A.M.
- The Higher Age decreases the time (-2 seconds per year). More rebirths increases the time (+7 seconds per rebirth, up to the max of 6 minutes).
- After 25 rebirths, each subsequent rebirth will only add 1 second to the transformation time (past 6 minutes)
- Does not decrease after Age 25
Before you say lolwiki.
I put that there. Thanks.

Sorry, did not know that. But regardless, it still has a time limit, with cloud pets dark knights can stay in trans as long as they want, assuming they have enough cloud pets and mana shield.

Well, that's actually new to me. I never knew that every RB after 25 extends it by a second, it kinda makes me happier knowing that more Rb's still effect the trans duration even by such a small number.
Although the entire point of this thread was approximating the time it would take to out damage a pally, and mostly for my own enjoyment in seeing the actual approximations. I always new there should be a point where the damage would benefit the DK but I just wanted to see it in numerical perspective. Also damage isn't the only thing trans gives, the longer a DK stays in disarm the more time they have with the extra hp,stam,mp,crit, passive defenses.
Ending statement is that I feel both trans skills are very much on equal playing fields.
