Good morning MabiNation (Morning here at least),
So I'm sure you were all waiting this moment, where we announce our new picks on who is going the brand new staff members of the Nation team. This will be the first ever addition towards our staff since we made our transition from Guru to here. While I am sure you have already skipped this message and have peered your eyes towards the bolded names below (And totally ruined the suspense of this message). I am pleased to announce the following names.
Our new Super Moderator will be Phunkie. After writing a long and inspiring application, it's hard to give the position to anyone else at this point. He is an incredibly positive member of our community, and has been with us for a long time. We appreciate every post he has made with us here, and his kind demeanor. Welcome to the top of the team Phunkie. <3
Handling our Mabinogi section (which has long been needing active moderation), we have accepted Okami to take the role. Just as well as her time with us, she is a very mature person and quite likable. She has a large amount of experience in Mabinogi and I know will take care of things as she visits that section very often.
Our next Moderator for the Mabination Community is Kazuni. This decision was difficult, as we had very many people applying for this position. Many were qualified as well, which made it much more harder. However, application-wise, Kazuni made her qualifications noticeable and expressed her confidence if she was picked. This, and also being backed by Osayidan as a suggested person; she has made it to the top to be chosen for this position.
Finally, we have our first moderator for our new Vindictus section. A section which will very likely be crucial in the upcoming months; we have chosen Bakuryu to take the job. Explaining his experience in his application from playing on the Korean servers, he instantly stood out for his willingness and ability to moderate the section. I hope he does well, or I will kick his ass.
So! That's all the picks for now. I appreciate EVERYONE for taking the time for submitting their applications. We very much went on the content of one's application because everyone had such a strong backing with us as a community here. So many promising applications, such as Timexpo, Celicia, the cat, amongst so many others that should be mentioned for their good work. But you know it is definitely a good thing when you have to struggle to pick a new member for the staff, it just means that so many people fit that mold when it comes to caring about our community. Regardless, I hope everyone is satisfied in the results, and I hope they serve you as well as I know they will.
---
Also as a side announcement to this big one. We now have an Absences Sub-Section under the Forest of Souls. This is for everyone to post when they think they will be away for some time, or when friends need to let others know of when a certain member will be back if something happened to them. I feel this is a great way for us to connect, and expect it to prove useful for our community. Just remember to post in your old thread when you return! We may be writing guidelines for this section very soon, so people know what is acceptable.
--
Thank you all for your attention, please join me in congratulating our new staff. <3

At last, I won't have to be sole person semi-moderating the mabinogi board :|
DFO takes so much time ._.
Welcome, new staff members~

That's because it's not a good idea to do a vote by the members.
Congratulations guys~

It's not a bad thing to have the community pick their staff, and It might have been what Zeph promised; I do not remember.
However, essentially these picks were chosen by me and Chise personally, revolving around whose applications were most qualified and which one suited our needs best. It just helps as we know exactly the type of moderation we are looking for. I apologize if everyone was expecting a different method for our staff picks and appreciate your concern.

Well, it would essentially be more of a popularity contest than who would be the best moderator. I don't think members are fit to judge on that.

This is crazy! I feel truly blessed.
A warm-hearted thank you to Falsetto and all the mods, who are not only funny and witty, but who also do a fantastic job here at MabiNation. It just goes to show how much of a damn they give about this community we all form part of. Then again, after that struggle they went through in switching from Guru to here, it should be obvious. You guys are great.
I would also like to thank every.single.one.of.you. You guys really do define Nation. We're not spammers, we're not trolls, we're just a little crazy. But that's okay, because you give life to this place-- a personality even. And when someone storms in to attack or offend others, not only do you counter all their points intelligently, but you back each other up. I have witnessed it so many times before and I absolutely love it.
You guys are real. I've seen people write about their problems and give each other advice, and truly care about each other. It is evident how much love there is on this forum and I urge you to continue spreading it. Like John Lennon once wrote, all you need is love, right? It makes the whole world go round.
Thank you all so much.
A toast to more good memories and more good times!

Oh man, sucks that I didn't get in, but it doesn't suck that you guys got in. I really think you guys deserved to get the positions.
So it evens out.
