I've already said what this is. It's a traditional deeply respectful bow in Korean (the male's version at least) and it's customary on Lunar New Year to visit your elders and greet them with the bow whilst wishing them a happy new year. It's not a bow you use anywhere, in the present day it's only really suitable for the most important occasions such as the traditional New Year's greeting, showing respect to the dead on the Moon Festival and so forth. It's not really made for Mabi NA and it's not expected that people outside of Mabi Asia would really get it.
Also it's not an idle animation. The KR Mabi site says in no uncertain terms that it's a gesture. Makes a lot more sense than it being an idle animation ಠ_à²
