So we've all had cats and dogs, which means let's not discuss those kinds of pets.
I'm talking about pets like birds, fish, lizards, etc etc.
In my life we've had like...
2 Finch's that died of getting too cold :( (they lived for quite awhile too)
4 Betta fish (1 lived for awhile after being knocked out of his fish bowl and thought to be dead but coming back to life in the toilet)
1 Lizard (my grandparents owned her, but she died because she was unable to reproduce or something)
I think that's it?
Oh, we've also owned huge tanks of fish.
Algae eaters were so cute. We had two but the bigger one we got ate the smaller one we had...

When I was younger we had Guinea Pigs for 1 day, mother doesn't want us to have guinea pigs.
Had an Orange Cat for a week. Mother did not want us to take care of a cat.
Then a Hamster for about a year, but it went missing after we moved (I still suspect that my mother threw it out or something)
Another Hamster a few years afterwards for about a year as well, but then one day when my siblings and I were out at school my mother
supposedly gave it away to someone. (Highly dubious as the empty cage was still there. Why would you give a hamster away without the cage?)
Now I have
this cat.
The moral here is that your parents own you when you are a kid...

Flying squirrel, her name was yoyo. They make pretty good pets, just don't drench them in attention.

I had a Quaker for about 2-3 years, I first met it when I was in 5th grade while I was massively depressed over something that happen in life. My uncle gave him too us cause he didn't want him anymore said he was too "Violent" and "Aggressive". It was my older brothers basically since he was the reason we got it, he was the only one it seemed too somewhat like. I spent a week or two trying too be nice too it only too get bitten and have it scream at me. I was terrible when it came too socializing since I spent the last 3 years just being dead inside and I really wanted to be friends with it and finally for some reason it just started warming up too me. I'd spend each day feeding it, petting it and playing with it. I'd let it drink from my cup and eat food with me, I never really left it in the cage unless I wasn't home. It's name was Dog because it acted like a Guard Dog and it turns out it was a She. She was very protective of me and always sat on my shoulder playing with my hair. If any of my family came within 2 feet of me she would lunge at them, bite them and try too make them back off. No one really liked her besides me and she was my best friend through almost all of middle school. She hated everyone else and only seemed too like me, The only other person she never would try too bite was my dad mainly because he got mad at it one day, screamed in it's face and lightly smacked it in the side. It feared yet respected him but everyone else was never safe. I would be able too get my way just by taking her out, she was small but she hurt. Sadly I was young and dumb I took her outside without clipping her wings, the first few times were fine she never left my shoulder but she got scared of a LEAF of all things that blew by too close on a windy day and just took off, Never saw her again. I spent that whole day just wandering around crying, that was the last bird I've ever had, been thinking about getting a new one recently. I will always miss and love that bird.

I had goldfish when I was little.
My brother, being only 3 years old, thought they wanted to drink something else for once, so he poured milk into the tank, and they all died.
I had a hermit crab for years, but one day he crawled out while changing his shell, and never went into another one.

I've mainly had fish.
I had two dogs before back when I lived in Malaysia, Pebbles was our main dog that we adopted (if you considered stealing a puppy from her mother adoption ok). We literally plucked her from her mom when she was a small puppy and brought her back to our home, then she lived with us for two years. But when we moved to Canada we couldn't bring her. ): She was a mongrel essentially, any dog wild dog in Asia is a mongrel, but she had features of a German Shepard.
We had another dog too, called Lucky, he was the cutest, he was fully black except for white in certain places like on his belly and paws, we tried to adopt him but he grew up in the wild so he didn't adapt well, he kept barking at nights and wanting to be let out of the house so we just released him back to the wild, never knew what happened to Lucky. No idea what kind of dog was he.
As for fish I really don't name my fish, I've had a variety of fish as a kid that I couldn't remember in a cube 10 gallon tank, the tank was super pretty if I remember correctly. I also had a turtle but he grew too big so we threw him in a pond. :D
As for the fish I have now, I have one Betta currently living in a 2.5g tank. A vacant 2g and 6g tank that shall have new fish by Wednesday and a 10g community tank. I would post pics but I need to spruce them up a bit, the water here is really hard so there's basically hard water marks all over my tanks. I posted pics on Nation before I believe.

I've had, in the course of my life...
Two budgies when really young. They didn't last long, sadly. :<
A german shepard that was basically as big as -I- was at around eight-nine; and wasn't too friendly :gloom3:
An old dog that was like a cross between a weiner dog and a golden retriever (think weiner dog size, golden retriever in every other way), that was basically THE BEST DOG EVER- didn't bark, just wanted nothing more than the occasional walk and to lay his head in your lap for petting... died to a hit-and-run :died:
And two cats- one smart enough to open up the wire door to the backyard, the other... well, good thing she was cute as could possibly ever be, because she was dumb enough to bang her head on the glass door. And window. And... you get the idea. x3 But they were such awesome kitties, and good mousers.
And I've been thinking of getting a ferret soon. :o Because they are awesome. I haven't yet because I'm not in the best position too, but I've been studying up and grabbed a book on them.

I had a salt water fish tank. We had a clown fish, and a bunch of other fishies I couldn't tell you the name of. Then we got a Starfish and it ate all the fish. It started with the Anemone but then it started cornering the fish and just eating them. :(
I also had a mouse named Nicki Mouse and she was the cutest thing.

and this is her sleeping ontop of her waterbottle.

I hadd a hedgehogg for a few yearss, she was a rescue animal and I named her Gidget. I would wear sweatshirts with the big pocket in the middle and carry her around in it so she could sleep, she would also run around a lot. Shee eventually got sick, I think it was cancer if I remember correctly, but when I dropped her off at the vet she gave me a little nip when we were going to leave her there over night, she hadnt bit me in a longg timee, so I think it was a loving nip, it makes me kinda sad.
Then I got a baby hedgehog named Meridian, she was healthy and cute and happy, I miss her aswell...
Ahhh Hedgehogsss, so cute.
