I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. If not, take a look at this article to see just how ridiculous things are becoming: http://www.wired.com/opinion/2013/02/nuclear-deterrence-for-patents-lets-create-a-network-of-defensive-patents/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wired%2Findex+%28Wired%3A+Top+Stories%29

In such a difficult hotbed of patents, getting into the tech industry is incredibly risky, and dangerous. Do the wrong thing, or tick off the wrong person and next thing you know you'll get slammed with a lawsuit.

It's due to bullshit like this, that innovation is extremely difficult if not impossible. It would be nice if someday we could overthrow this sytsem and get some progress but when tech companies hold a monopoly and our politicians are pathetic asswipes who can't do a bit of forward thinking, that probably is never going to happen.

Seriously now, I'd like to see a politician who is tech savy and willing to get some real change done in our Education system and Patent system. If we can make those 2 things better in the US by the time I croak due to old age or illness, I think I can rest peacefully in the afterlife.
