I was wanting to upgrade my computer from Vista to Windows 7.
I just needed some advice on whether it's a good idea or not.
Here are the specs, if needed, for you.

use this for specific help:
Download details: Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor
but typically the general rule is, if you can run windows vista you can run 7.

Okay, I'll talk to my mom.
I need to know, if I do upgrade, will that mess up all my games and such?

Upgrade will keep you items I think so it won't mess your games (hopefully)

I dunno which ones you have.

Well the games I'm most worried about are...
Zone 4
Sims 3
Flyff
Lineage
Tales Runner
Mabi (it works I guess)
Maplestory

I wouldn't recommend an *upgrade* install. Rather, if you're set on Windows 7, you should back up all your data, then reformat and do a fresh install of Win7.
Things you should back up include:
Personal files (documents, pics, music, videos)
Game save files/preferecences
Browser Bookmarks

For when you are installing the game you need to put the setup in compatibility mode for windows XP.
Rather than that it should run fine.
I don't see anything wrong with your PC so you should be able to support Windows 7. [:

A recent test I've conducted with a few friends from work shows that you can run windows seven without *too many* complications on a PC that used to run windows 98.
I'd say your specs are definitely good, may want to upgrade your ram though.
As for games, I also recommend backing everything you want up and then running a fresh install, which is something I could help out with ;)

I also recommend fresh install of Windows 7.
(I upgraded from vista once and had a lot of program compatibility problems. Then I did clean install.)
This laptop that I'm using is on Windows 7 and so far so good.

Most games run on W7 fine, I use it, and have been for awhile now.

Upgrading to Windows 7 from Vista is a bad idea, because W7 likes to pull drivers for itself and install them. So, if it thinks it still has a driver, it won't update them, and you'll have to do it yourself. Which is VERY time consuming the first time you install W7...
Don't upgrade, just wipe & install.
