I don't think I have many, besides gesture drawings. If I find any, I'll try to not be lazy and maybe post some. The way you draw the figure is interesting. I kind of wished we'd been taught to draw figures that way. *_*
Is your class using a specific book I could maybe look at, or is this just your teacher's method?

No book, only book he showed us are book featuring compilation works done by the students he taught in China (Graphite and Charcoal), before coming here.
His teaching methods involve "using a point system to give a depicted image correct proportions, analyze the the figure/ground relationship to
translate the human figures into structures and shapes, and investigate the tonal expression of light and shade to create appropriate value contrast."
The anatomy of the body is reviewed in class, such as the supporting line to create the face/skeletal structure in certain angles. So the instructor gives us the information/tip/technique to draw a figure, its up to us to figure the rest out while he challenge us further on improving the figure and the way we see the model o3o
However I got the least help/critique through the semester since he had to help the students that "couldn't draw/manage to pass a basic life drawing course with a C" so they could catch up.

Ah, I see. I was taught to draw through the blocking out of the figure, but never quite like this. I'd very much like to try this method. I'll need to go find reference I really want to draw and give it a shot. *_*

about drawing, i must tell a sad story, i remember i was a good drwer in primary school, i draw pictures every day, until one day, i find my watercolor pen has been stolen by someone, i cried ver loud, and my voice shocked the person who got my pen without my permission, what make me feel angry is that she said my watercolor pen is hers, and somebody told her i stolen her pen, i fee sad and angry, i fight with her, but she is too tall, i can't win her, and finally, she throw my pen outside the window, since then, i hate drawn anything. I hate the feeling of being wronged.

Very thin boney male model, however I went too heavy on the line (harder to shade with darkened line). Sat 2 sessions drawing the shadow shapes till my instructor give me an "ok" to start shading or at least critique it. Sadly he still haven't visited me for the critique and secondary analysis, even though he promised to see me (he's busy helping the leeches who are behind class, that sit their ass on their phone)
