  It's about time we got another administrator to help get things organized with the staff.
  There's a lot of communication and standardization that needs to be worked on and that's what a new admin will be able to help with.
  
  The new administrator will be someone whose been with the community for a very long time, even if their account doesn't make it seem that way. All the staff agree that this person will be able to help the situation, so welcome Ashikoki to our staff.
  
  Good luck to you, and nation doesn't have health insurance, so you pay for your own psychiatrist.

  You might have some questions about my new position, but we'll keep that in shrouded obscurity forever. Because I'm a tease. Feel free to speculate. Extra points to the wildest fantasies.
  
  What I can tell you, is that I plan on making a few minor changes around here. I promise to be as impartial and fair as possible, not letting my personal vendetta influence judgement of other members. Eventually our community will become a much happier place. That said, here are some new rules I want to introduce:
  
  

  
  
  1. Osayidan will have his rank demoted to Soda Dispenser. This is because I said so, and since I know some of you are quite thirsty. All moderators will be demoted as well, to Sushi Chefs. Neither jobs will pay.
     
  2. All members whose usernames or avatars/signatures have any relation to distasteful animes such as Sword Art Online or A Certain Scientific Railgun will be banned. Members such as Krito or Hitaki are clearly in violation of this rule. I'll be issuing permanent bans within the next hour or two.
     
  3. You must pay a monthly tax of one chocopie or any other sweets of equivalent value to the site admins for its continued use.
     
  4. Regular members will be promoted to user rank Shrine Maiden. Especially Yoorah.
     
  5. All rules made by Ashikoki previous to this point are repealed by a nation mandate the moment it is made, making it impossible to enforce.
     

Now that my immeasurably short reign of terror has ended, let me tell you exactly what we're up to. Lately the staff have been under a lot of pressure from the members. When we see certain members who appear to receive special treatment, or others who are banned for reasons the crowd believes is unjustified, its understandable to be wary of the moderators.

As it turns out, this isn't exactly because our staff are maleficent tyrants. Each of them have a separate standard for what is acceptable or not, and when each moderator handles a case individually, their rulings are simply different. This discrepancy commonly leads to similar cases receiving very different results, depending on who handled it.

My goal here is not to "fix the community" by making the rules more strict, or loosening it. We want to achieve efficient consistency in the staff. What does this mean for you? Nothing really. I'm not modifying any rules that apply to regular members, nor am I proposing any additions/removals to the Sushi Chefs. We'll just be starting an inner system of communication, where each case is handled properly by all (available) staff rather than one. By doing this, a much more impartial decision can be made, and through a lengthy period of time, the Sushi Chefs will come to better understand the standards or how we deal with rule offenders.

As for the community, you guys are doing great. Remember to chill and take it easy.
