[S]I still wonder how this even became an issue to begin with, but that's neither here nor there at this point.[/S]
As far as the changes go, they sound good to me. Hope good results come from it.
As to Ashikoki:
I don't see why this is an issue either. Your reasons are your reasons. If the staff supports you, that's more than enough for me. To you, and to the staff: good luck and keep up the good work.

We'll be revisiting the definition of spam in a later discussion, since many people have stood very firmly on this topic.
That sounds like fun....

Worst type moon girl, I demand a change of admin. Our current admin has clearly, no taste.
That aside, I think having more visible action could work as an experiment. One of the main complaints it seems that everything is done behind curtains, and while you guys can say things are being worked on, sometimes, people need visual cues.
Also, I'd like to request that if you guys are going to have another gay month in the future as an event or whatever, make a public announcement to the community, not everyone is comfortable with sudden gay imagery in every signature and avatar, and a head's up would have been nice. I sent a PM to a mod to avoid making a thread that would have surely caused a fuss, but I never got a reply. So yeah, nothing against the community having fun with their sigs and avys, just a warning would be nice. next time

Hmm, I think I remember this, but this was never a staff sanctioned thing, just a bunch of members that decided to do that.
So staff didn't have any involvement in it, maybe some staff member participated in it, but that's it, just as another user.

That was unofficial and the community drove that themselves.

I'm aware of that, but isn't that the amusement park section function? There was no post about it, and the only community subforum I frequent is Entertainment, so I was out of the loop.

You can block signature from showing. If they make you uncomfortable, that's your own issue I'm afraid and nobody was breaking the rules doing it either.

I'm not arguing that, and yeah, that's exactly what I did. Look, I'm not trying to raise a fuss, that's the whole reason I opted for a PM instead of making a thread about. I'm was only asking for an official "warning" thread in case an event like that happens again.
Mods cleared up that it was community made, so there was nothing they could do about it, and that's that.

Quote from Ashikoki;1060667:
The moderator who takes care of a case will log both their reasoning and decision on the thread, and then follow up with the reporter in a private message explaining exactly that. If the moderator decided to take action, we will let you know. If the moderator decides there was no violation of the rules, we will let you know that. If you requested a thread lock, and its obvious that we listened since your thread is locked, you can still expect a private message from us confirming this.
Did someone really need to promoted to administrator for the staff to start doing such a basic request? :V

Yeah, I find it weird all of a sudden the mods aren't lazy to do this since it was too much work for them apparently. :V
Meh, at least now my plan on cockriding a mod for basic stuff doesn't have to go in motion ever.

I don't agree that the mods are/have been lazy before. I'm pretty sure they all did their job but since they can't really always tell us 100% of the time "We did X and Y to Z" it leaves us guessing.
I'm going to go on major guesswork here but my theory would be that while each mods talk to each others, they all had their own personal view on each individual subject. There probably was no "clear" guideline other than the rules on "What need to be done in which situation" so it was left to their own judgement. Don't get me wrong all the mods are very intelligent people but the lack of a "Do this when that" means that each situation is handled individually depending on who works on it, which might lead to different result at different time.
I'm probably wrong but that would be my explanation to the people who think it took a new admin to "make the moderators work".

No, that was the reason why they said they didn't want to do this. Because posting 2-3 sentences was such a burden to them and it takes up too much time even though the community wanted it. :C

The mods said it themselves that it would be too much work to PM every individual reporter that the situation was taken care of. I don't have a quote but I'm sure you could find it sifting through some older Discussion threads.

Well this all works for me. Though I was already okay with the old system. When ever i reported something I assumed that action was taken but I just didnt notice it.
