It all began on a normal day… The sky had been clear all day long with only a few clouds floating around and the temperature was rising with each passing days. Snow had already started melting and the spring would soon bring life to the plants around the garden. Rachelle was just sitting in front the lunge TV, half looking at some show while looking at the sky outside. Her and her family, as well as her best friend Michael were on a trip to the Niagara Falls in Canada. Currently her family was out shopping for souvenir while she remained at the hotel. She didn’t know where Michael had run to, maybe she should have followed him but it was too late to change her mind. Right now was stuck alone in the hotel lunge, looking at some stupid Canadian TV show she never heard of nor was even interested in. Deep down she was wishing for something to happen, like Michael to comeback or her family to return. That was about when something caught her attention outside the lunge window.
“Fog?†she lightly said to herself as she looked at it.

It all ended on a normal day… Michael was outside, looking at the Niagara Falls from one of the cliff. The scenery was rather calming and he couldn’t get tired of it despite seeing it many times since they had arrived here. In one day they would have to return to the States so he wanted to just absorb this scenery as much as he could even through it was rather cold outside. His peace of mind was soon disturbed through. A female scream resonated all the way to him from far away and made him turn around. At first he didn’t fully gasp what he was seeing. In the far distance was a yellowish fog pouring down over the town.
“What the F***†he said to himself as more people around him noticed the abnormality happening right in front of them.
At first he couldn’t even more and his legs started to shake a little. What brought him up to his sense was another scream that followed, this time a little closer. That fog was coming over here too. Quickly Michael started to run away, heading toward the Hotel. Once inside he found his friend Rachelle starting at the window. He quickly ran to her and grabbed her right wrist, pulling her. Rachelle was so immersed in watching the phenomena outside she didn’t notice Michael until he grabbed her arm. Looking at him, surprised by his sudden appearance she was about to say something but the look on her friend’s face was enough to shut her down.
“Rachelle let go right now! That –thing- is coming over here and people are screaming, this is really bad! I don’t get what is going on but I’m not staying to figure it out.†He said to her.
Rachelle only nodded as words just couldn’t come to her mouth, she was still under shock. Pulling on her arm as hard as he could, Michael ran outside the building, looking toward the direction the fog was, they saw how quick it was advancing and more people screaming. Many people had already started running in the opposite direction. Doing the same as them, Michael ran with Rachelle. They ran and ran and the screams were only getting louder.
“We are not going to make it!†Rachelle yelled to Michael when she turned her head for a moment to look at the fog covering people and hearing their scream.
“Don’t look and keep running!†He told her but soon, Rachelle fell down to the ground, Michael stopped for a moment to look at her.
“I.I can’t run anymore†she said, panting heavily and quickly. She wasn’t the athletic type much and that was her limit.
“Go! I’m done for! You don’t have time so just GO!†She told him, crying.
Michael hesitated and then ran away, not looking back. Turning around to look at her once more, he saw the yellow fog cover her small silhouette in its thickness. Sadly for him, having abandoned her wasn’t enough as that fog was quicker than his tired feet and as he was running, the fog covered him up…

A week later…
Washington, in front the white house. Kohane had rejoined the many people had gathered from through out the country. About a week ago the USA had declared their supremacy over the world and did a test of their new weapon over the Canada to both show the power they had and that they would use it on any country that go against them. The military had taken over the country by getting rid of the government and then on the same day, had render all of Canada as a ghost town. Many people had disagreed with that and started to protest. Many of them were people who had families and such in Canada or were just plain old against having the USA control the world. Everyday the group of protestors was increasing. Kohane is young girl who had some online friends who lived in Canada. They might have been only online friends but it didn’t change a thing that they were her friends. She still couldn’t accept that they were gone just like that in a day. She loved her country a lot but for that reason itself she couldn’t stand that her country would do something that cruel. She had to beg her father to let her come here as he was against having her take part in the protest, at least in the open. Another one in that protest was Alexander who had a lover who was in Canada. Well it wasn’t exactly a lover, more like a one side love and admiration for her. Alexander was mostly just protesting because his love had been stolen from him, but otherwise, he didn’t care much for what had happened to Canada. Near the end of the day, someone walked out at the white house and looked down on the protesters. Many people looked up at him as he preached the wonders of been the owners of this world now and that small sacrifice were needed for those. At that point some people started to throw shoes at him.
“If you really want to vent about those who are gone, WHY NOT JOIN THEM!†the leader said out loud to the group. At that moment people stopped to throw things and some even begged for their life. A yellowish fog had appeared right over the ground and quickly engulfed them…
Chapter 1: Hello World.
Seeing Michael run forward, her heart felt pressured, as if something was going to squish it. She wanted to scream but her breath was out of sync. When the yellow fog covered her up she…
“WAAAAAAAA!!!†Rachelle screamed as she opened her eyes and rose up her body, sweating like crazy.
Her heart was beating fast. “A nightmare?†She murmured to herself but soon the reality of where she was hit her. This wasn’t her room. She was on a bed in the middle of a room full of bookcase with books. The roof was rather low and there was no one else. Slowly, she crawled out of the bed and quickly noticed her own body. She was light… Her entire body was just some sort of very basic glowing white light. She looked at her hand in mystery and fright. She could still feel her body and as she pinched her skin, she could feel pain. This was not a dream but it couldn’t be reality either.. Before she could straight out her mind, a voice resonated in the room.
“You are awake now?†the voice said, it sounded robotic or synthesized, not very human sounding.
“Who, who are you! Where is this! What happened to me!†Rachelle asked in a quick succession.
“One question as a time, first who I am isn’t very important. Second right now you are kind of a prisoner.. It’s hard to explain in a way you’ll understand so just listen to all I have to say.. America made a discovery that permit them to link the mind of multiple people and modify reality itself using the power of hundreds of mind together. Using that power they lunched an attack on Canada in an attempt to gather more minds to strengthen the power they discovered. There is one fatal flaw to this; they had to keep the mind of all these people active… The best way to do that was to create a virtual reality to trap the mind of all those people in. But making such a thing is time costly so they took one that was already been made. This world you are in right now is a Multiplayer Online game that was been developed to come out in the next few years with a new technology. Every prisoner was connected to that world while their mind is been used to power up their new weapon. For stability, your memories were all locked up and replaced by a set of memories that fit with that world’s lore and culture.â€
Rachelle called out to him “Wait, I remember clearly everything about myself?â€
The voice stopped and then answered her “That’s cause I unlocked your memories, let me finish. As I was saying, all the people who got trapped at now living in this virtual world. You might not remember but you already lived in it for a while as someone else. Here is where I come in. I’m one of the scientist who was part of the military, but I disagree with the cruel treatment you guys received. That is why I’m trying to free you guys. Right now the system has all command to free or stop the server disabled so I cannot actually free you guys but because this world is a game, there is one way out. If people are to clear the game, everyone will be disconnected from it. That’s why I am unlocking your memories and transferring your Character Data to be a player object instead of an NPC object. Here is my request.. as a player please clear the game and free everyone.â€
Waiting for him to say something else Rachelle remained silent but the moment soon turned awkward so she spoke back to him. “Alright so I just have to clear this game? I’m pretty confident in my skill on games so lets see, I’m a player so I gotta create a character first right?â€
The voice resonated again. “Yes, everything to create a character is in this room so just go ahead, I have to go, my maintenance shift over the server is over. You will not be alone; I’ll try to create more players to help you.†With this the voice faded away and Rachelle was left alone in the room…

Day 0. Chiyu had just received an introduction from some voice resonating in this room that looked like a library. She remained relatively silent as the voice left the room for her to make a character. Looking around she found some large console like platform with all sort of buttons and windows. From that console it was pretty self-explanatory on how to make a character.
The system would pick 4 randomly chosen races and let her pick which she wanted. Her result was; Human, Greer, Tetora or Angelic. Each of them came with a description of the race, it’s advantages and disadvantage. The human and Greer race looked rather boring and while the Tetora race sounded fun, cause it was a race that was half cat, Chiyu picked Angelic since that was more her calling. After passing an entire hour just playing with the system’s capacity to change the appearance of the body, she picked up what she liked the most.
Angelic had no normal hair colors, so she picked a purple like tone for her hair. Her eyes would be yellow and her wings would be purple energy too. Height and facial structure couldn’t be modified through. Choosing her skills from the list wasn’t too difficult through. The skills were pretty simple and were more of a Mastery of an ability than an active ability. Chiyu didn’t know if this was intentional but the amount of Ability Points she had at the beginning permitted her to be a rather powerful individual, maybe it was a bonus that voice had given her and other players to help clear the game sooner. Within the various skills available, Chiyu had picked Whip Mastery level 2, Dual Wield Mastery level 2, Darkness Psy Magic level 2, Blacksmith Mastery level 3 and Whitecraft Mastery level 3. In that game, each skill had level 1, 2 or 3, 3 being the highest.
Once she confirmed her skill choice in the consol, she got a pop up message saying “Unlocked Hidden Skill Whitesmith Mastery Level 3†That popup was rather interesting but what happened afterward was a lot more interesting. The system had asked her to put her hand over some orb and when she did, it felt like knowledge was poured into her mind. Once it was over she felt confident about been able to fully enjoy that game. She had received knowledge on how to accurately fight using any whip like weapon, how to efficiently dualweild how to use a specific ability that was called Darkness Psy Magic, everything related to blacksmithing, Whitecrafting and the secrets of Whitesmithing. After her skills had been chosen, she had to pick her stats but there wasn’t much to pick, they were all randomized stats, through her skills gave her stats too. Once it was all done, she was asked by the consol which weapon she wanted to begin with. Picking a Metal Chain which was part of the Whip Mastery weapon group, Chiyu was logged into the game world.

Descending upon the world, the young Yulishees arrived in a little town. Kohane wondered what she would have to do now. She had picked up Bow Mastery and Water Nature Magic and Water Psy Magic as her skill since the race she ended up picking was water based. She didn’t know if she would get used to those fin ears. The sensation of touching them was still very odd and unnatural to her. When she arrived at the town no one noticed her presence at first. She had an hood on her as well as a long bow, some simple clothing and a little bit of what might be that world’s currency.
She wasn’t sure how she would go at beating this crazy game. If this was indeed a MMORPG, the first thing would be to strengthen herself by fighting monster but.. The world looked so real around her, wouldn’t monsters be scary? No No, she couldn’t have this in mind. If she was to survive, she would need to build up her strength and fight if she must.
Her knowledge on how to use her skill made her rather confident that she could beat anything in this game. First thing first, she needed a place to stay. A little shy about it, Kohane asked some people walking in the village if there was any inn. The village had a few but the nearest one was the Pumpkin Inn.
“How much is a room?†She asked the person who looked like he was the owner.. in reality wouldn’t that person also be just another prisoner, unaware of his fate?
“A room is only 10 Rul young lady, but if you let me see your beauty, I’ll make it 9 Rul.†The owner commented, his glance trying to peek at her under her hood. Looking at her bag with Rul, is what he called them? Well anyway
“Is there enough Rul in there for the normal price?†She told him, showing him her Rul bag. The guy only flicked his tongue and took a coin from the bag and then threw a key at her.
“The room ups the stairs, furthest to the right†Nodding to him a little, Kohane started to head torward the stairs.
“Hey miss, your name?†To that question she stoped and looked at him a little. “It’s Yulasecaâ€

The voice then left the room, Alexander was now all alone in the library of this prison game. Looking around for how to create a character, he spotted the console and started fooling with it. As he played with it, one thing became obvious.
“Why is there only a female avatar options? Where is the gender switch option? I’m a guy for god sake!†Sadly to his call, the voice did not comeback. He waited an hour and still nothing.
“Well damn it!†he said and pressed the confirm button on the console. The light on his body started to shine brightly and soon his body had turned into the avatar he made on the console. Looking down at the plain clothes covering his body, Alexander sighed. Those were really.. there… just to be sure he pulled on the shirt to see inside but then let go, blushing.

Shaking his head, he tried touching the large wings on his back. The race he had picked was the Harpuia, a winged race. Through the description indicated they could only glide, not really fly. This was relatively fantastically well made, he could feel the touch of his hand on his wings, trying to move them he got them to shake a little. Would those.. feel real too.. he though deep down. Shaking his head he refuted the idea, he was a man, he shouldn’t be doing that with his own body.
After some time he finished picking up his skills, somehow he unlocked two hidden skill, Wind Bending and Earth Bending. His beginning weapon was a spear and he felt rather powerful with that weird knowledge that just popped up in his mind.
When he entered the world. The place he arrived was a pretty lively city full of other winged Harpuia. The architecture of the place was rather interesting, houses were made of a white stone like material and all the houses had really large doors. Must be because they all had wings.
His first decision was to learn more about this world if he wanted to survive in it.
“Hey miss, are you lost?†Some guy approached her, taller than her. Alexander felt disturbed, it wasn’t the first time he had been mistaken for a girl back in the outside world but this was the first time he couldn’t openly declare he’s a guy considering his body.
“I’m fine but, would you know any Inn around here?†He replied to the guy who frowned a little.
“If you want I can let you in my house for free..†the guy said, placing his hand on her shoulder. A cold shiver ran up his spine.. This was bad, real bad. Alexander quickly brushed her body away from the guy.
“No-No thanks!†She rudely said to him before walking away without turning back. Living in this female avatar is going to be much more troublesome than he thought.

The smell of the sea water in the air, the ocean breeze and the background noise of all the port activity going in the city. It had been a week since Michael had awakened in this Death Game. In that port city of the Earth Kingdom he remained there, learning about the world he was in.
To the town’s folks he was Stratos, an helpful beggar who did manual work for just some food. In the town he wore an hood at all time. He hard learned that people of the Earth Kingdom, mostly humans, looked down on the Sherufanir as inferior race. That race just happened to be the one Michael had picked up because of his love for wolves. His hood kept his ears and his tail hidden from the sight of the villagers and sailors.
It had been an entire week and yet his level was still only 2. His level increased when his Stamina stat rose from 33 to 34 while he was doing labour on his fifth day. So one thing was for sure, he didn’t need to actually fight monsters to raise his level but at the rate he was gaining exp at, it would take a very long time to clear this game. There was no way this Death Game could be cleared on low levels.
From what he gathered from different people in this world, the wild animals, probably what is considered monsters by MMORPG terms, usually didn’t go near cities and village, they could be found roaming the plains where there was less to no people at all. Not all were aggressive but those that tend to be aggressive had more value to them. The Rul he had at the beginning of the game lasted him for 3 days before it ran out and now he was working on just surviving.
He could feel hunger if he didn’t eat but he didn’t know what would happen if he stopped eating. He didn’t want to test it. Death in this world might be permanent.
On the second day, he met another player who openly claimed this world was fake and to prove it started to attack random people, requesting the sky to let him out of this dumb game. After the second villager fell to the ground in a puddle of blood, a giant strike of lightning, no.. a pillar of lightning fell on the insane killer. When the flash of light ended, a charred body was left on his knees and a wind breeze dispersed it into ashes.
Asking question to other town people about it, he learned that in this world, their great Goddess Yamira would not allow someone to kill more than one person in the entire world. That absolute rule prevents wars from happening as everyone knows they will die if they were to kill more than one person. If one kills a second, the Goddess judgment would fall upon them. Through for most of the villagers here, it was their first time seeing it happen. After that, he never heard that guy again so he either did not revive at all or revived somewhere far. Anyway Stratos had no intention of testing death out in this world. When he would get more Rul, he would find a way to travel around the kingdom. He wasn’t going to clear the game by staying in this town.
