I loved Lucas arts in the late 90s early 2000s, but, their games afterward were mostly crap in my opinion.
Dark Forces and Rouge Squadron were classics, and Jedi Knight/Academy are arguably some of the best games for Star Wars ever made (even though that was Raven doing the dev work, LucasArts just published)
Rest in peace, hopefully someone will pick up 1313 and give it less QuickTime Events.

If the games are going to be better, I'm overall fine with it. I mean it's still someone's livelihood that's going to be supported by a job, just others.

Dominion over the world won't be given to Taco Bell or Buy 'n' Large. It'll be between Google and Disney. :fail3:

Turns out this is actually a good thing.
They laid off the internal team making it possible for 3rd parties to start developing star wars games now. The age of horrible star wars games are over.

I wonder how George Lucas feels about this.

he doesn't care
all he cares about the series is selling the star wars figures
the actor for Han Solo suggests that Han Solo should die in Episode VI but Lucas was like
"Nope, need to sell those Han Solo figures"
Also, it explains why Star Wars Episode 1-3 have so many new characters no one gives two shits about like Jar Jar Binks

This is normal
After ME3 was rated as a total shitfest, which also plummeted EA's reputation down the drain a thousand fold, they layed off most of bioware.

EA has the biggest gold mine of potential blockbuster series
but they don't do a good job publishing their games
Like how they let Medal of Honor become a generic military shooter and didn't bother to advertise the game.
