Just a little advice on price points.

I'm going to be upgrading my PC soon, and, I'd just like a second opinion (actually a third, but whatever) on these parts. Specifically, on weather or not they're too expensive for what I'd be getting.

The Sabertooth has everything I need really, but, it seems a tad expensive and I'm a bit weary to buy it. I'm planning on over time upgrading my graphics card (currently GTX 460SE) so the multiple PCIe slots are good, and I have a external drive that can make use of the USB 3.0.

I know Corsair is a good brand for RAM, and the price seems fine, but I figured I'd ask anyway. Most would say 8GB is enough, but I'll be doing a lot of gaming and running a VM or two for class work or to fuck around with, so I'm just being on the safe side and figured might as well max out what Windows home premium allows.

1. 8GB is enough for gaming. I've never seen a game with more than a 4GB requirement for it's recommended system requirements. You only need more than 8 for heavy video editing for like what freddiew does on his videos. I'd go for 8GB of ram.
2. Do you plan on doing SLI/Crossfire to need that many PCIe slots? If so, I'd get this.

I wouldn't spend about $220 more dollars on those things. Instead I'd use that money to buy a better graphics card. And look it even brings two games. :o

Motherboard wise you're fine, though I would opt instead for an AsRock Extreme 9 as it's a better board for the price in my opinion, warranty aside. (since i prefer it's feature set and AsRock's UEFI) it is also $20 cheaper right now. It's got the Xfast 555, better integrated sound, hardware debugging, better network card, a dehumidifier, things to put in otherwise useless external 3.5 bays, internet access via UEFi, and the higher quality caps on board. The Asus board has slightly better VRMs, a longer warranty, and a remote control. Yeah, I'm considering 2 GTX 660 ti, which will probably be a bit cheaper when I do get around to it. I really want a multi monitor setup, I'm a heavy multitasker and I've always wanted to see what it's like to play a game on 3 screens together.

I'll take that into account, it's significantly cheaper and looks pretty good, though, I have a soft spot for ASUS stuff, I've been very pleased with my current board (for a beginner's budget build that is) and my monitor. I've never had any problems with anything, the board is just getting old now and I need something that has room for more than 1 graphics card.

Meh, I'd go with AMD for multi-monitor setup ( and go for a 7950 assuming it would of dropped as well).
AMD has been doing the multi-monitor setup longer than Nvidia has. Plus, Nvidia's is focusing more in 3D gaming rather than multi-monitor setups assuming from their advertisements.
