Can't Load Subsequent Crash Shots

Only when I go rafting does this happen. I don't have a video or screenshot of it at the moment (I'll try and get some later).
Whenever I try to Crash Shot more than twice in a row, my third one never fully loads. It shows the icon of a skill when you use it during the animation of another skill (ie: when you Windmill during Smash's animation). So it's queued up, but it stays that way until I use another skill. Am I playing the game wrong, or am I just lagging like crazy?

Rafting and Crash Shot tend to act oddly together. For me, I find that I sometimes need to hit ESC to sort of "halt" anything Mabi may be trying to do that I'm not entirely aware of, then load a skill. It's kind of annoying but you could try it, maybe?
