Pretty much.
Also this guy shouldn't report tactical info for everyone's safety. The media has been pushed so far back and we can't see anything.

So let me get this straight. You said all Russians have a grudge against the US, but then quickly said not all of them are bad just like the "I can't be racist against blacks, I have black friends!" excuse then you called Americans ignorant? Okay.
you're making unnecessary conclusions and making the wrong assumption. Nowhere in my statement did I say ALL russians have a grudge against the US. I was referring to these TWO and ONLY THESE TWO!
Now quit tearing apart my statement and making me out to be the bad guy!

I'm watching 7News on my TV right now, they can't show any live media feed of what's happening in Watertown. Their feed kinda sucks so I switched to TV, but you can't do that so...
You can try
Channel 5, or
Channel 4. You might as well stick with the reddit link.

I think reporting it works both ways. Anyone who lives in the area of immediate danger would know what is going on in almost-real time and be able to make decisions to keep themselves safe. "stay indoors" is good for anyone out of the way but I saw reports of bullets flying into homes. Also bombs on the street (don't know if confirmed). If those bombs weren't taken care of shrapnel could have flown into homes as well.
The mainstream media probably isn't mentioning any of those details or exact locations of the suspect.
On the other hand the suspect could be reading and making his own decisions based on it, though I doubt it. More likely he has his own police scanner if anything, waiting for reddit to load would just take too long for a suspect on the run.

Reddit seems to be buckling under this traffic because it keeps reverting to an older update.
Also there was a little banner that popped saying they were experiencing a DDoS attack~
This shit is getting intense I mean a fucking rocket? Well I mean, if this guy was a student at MIT I can see how that's possible...but still!

Exactly, they're speculating that he could be watching. He apparently just posted on social media about 15 minutes ago that he was "going to kill us all, just like how we killed his brother."

People in my office have been getting texts, apparently we've got a guy in my city now who is suspected of having a bomb as well. They're calling him a Russian extremist, but I'm going to assume that he's supposedly from the same breakaway region as these Boston guys.
Can't confirm yet.

Reddit links are done due to fear of White Hat suspect watching.
Except for the local news (just getting background on the suspect, they're talking to a former classmate of his), we're flying blind.

That's probably for the best, even though it's interesting knowing what the fuck is going on.

http://www.wgrz.com/news/article/211292/37/Source-Police-Investigating-Car-from-Mass-in-Niagara-Falls?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Cbc%7Clarge
Police stopped a car from Mass. driven by two Russian nationals that had four "suspicious backpacks" in it. They're having a robot investigating and the FBI has been made aware.
It's most likely a false alarm, but still.

Yeah.
There's nothing of value in Niagara Falls aside from the Rainbow Bridge that connects us to Canada which is probably why they're being so cautious.
