  And even if it was, it would still be a retarded argument (and it is). You have no privacy in a public space either way. Having better cameras with sophisticated processing engines backing them would simply make current systems perform much more effectively.
  
  Ultimately, it would lead to improved accountability, whether you're a criminal held accountable to your crimes where you could previously sneak away unnoticed, whether you're a police officer wrongly accused of mistreating a suspect, whether you're an innocent bystander who's had nothing to do with the crime but accused of being the criminal due to being at the wrong place at the wrong time, etc.
  
  Of course, it would have also helped identify and track the suspects sooner, possibly preventing the death of the MIT police officer.
  
  It would be a privacy problem if these cameras tracked what you do at home, but that's obviously not the case.

  Personally, I was kinda disappointed by some of the responses I've read here. It's like this thing turned people into disgusting savages. Reminds me of what happened when Osama Bin Laden was killed. :|
  
  The second suspect especially, he's just a cute kid, loved and well regarded by his parents, friends, classmates and acquaintances. Like his parents, I have a hard time believing he was involved in this thing, yet people are basically chanting for his death or whatever. wtf?
  
  Those pseudo-intelligent morons on Reddit and other social media are also quite annoying. They identified two guys who've apparently had nothing to do with it, and the mass-media being just as stupid, published their photos. wtf?
  It sure doesn't instill confidence in the police getting the right people.

  I think that's just a part of our nasty human nature. It's like when a bunch of Elves camp a weak Giant to no end, then I jump in because it's like 3v1 but once I do that they just act like they're the victims and the right ones then they proceed to call for more Elf allies to do a manhunt against me. But this is a game analogy and not real life but judging on how those Elves acted, regardless of them having epeen or not, I would assume they would do the same in real life given the opportunity.

  That official and a second person briefed on the investigation says 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will be questioned by a special interrogation team for high-value suspects. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to disclose the information publicly.
  
  The public safety exception permits law enforcement officials to engage in a limited and focused unwarned interrogation of a suspect and allows the government to introduce the statement as evidence in court.
  
  The public safety exception is triggered when police officers have an objectively reasonable need to protect the police or the public from immediate danger.
  
  Police say Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is listed in serious condition at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

  What this basically means is that he won't be given the chance to consult a lawyer before they start questioning him, and anything he says while half dead and on drugs in the hospital will be considered valid evidence to be used against him in court. wtf?

  There's a lot that's currently unknown, and even more things that raise suspicion. Domestic terrorists are usually people who've had serious issues and weren't good at integrating in their community. This guy did not fit the profile; he had a promising future.
