can someone summarize the magic changes if there are any?
i'm too lazy to sift thru 30+ pages and the info isn't on the front page so :(
5int = 1 magic attack
Magic formula and coefficients changed to make magic roughly the same as before with some magic skills getting nerfed namely ice spear and hailstorm.
Blaze got rebuffed up back to it's former glory.
Magic gained magic weapon mastery which gives 150% bolt damage and 15% speed casting reduction to int magic which appears to stack with speed casting upgrades. Do note that the stacking is not additive and I only noticed a 1-2 second reduction in overall casting time of fireball pending on latency.
The other 3 new magic skills are part of the new druid talent but can be obtained without the talent.
Instant cast has a cooldown of 3 minutes and allows you to instantly charge up hailstorm to the point where you can start charging up the crystals and cuts the mp cost to something like 30mp?
Instant cast also instant charges up 5 charges of all int and bolt magic allowing for instant fireballs. you can reduce the cooldown by 2 seconds with each magic attack that you cast and use. If you use fireball and it hits 10 mobs it only reduces it by 2 seconds. CC+4 ice wands would be helpful to decrease the CD.
Instant cast does not work on Fusion Bolt, Blaze, Shockwave, or Meteor Strike.
Meteor Strike is a new advanced magic that deals high damage, takes 10 seconds to cast and when you get a large red target area similar to Adniel that you can choose where your Meteor will hit. It will then hit after 5 seconds and leave an after burning effect for like 10 or 12 seconds. It has a cooldown of 30 minutes.
Mobile Casting allows you to charge up int magic while moving and to move once you have it casted at the cost of a continual stamina drain. It also works with blaze but is extremely buggy with it and may cause you to get stuck (last I checked)
Mobile Casting does not work with Hailstorm or Meteor Strike (not that meteor strike needs it)
Blaze and Fusion Bolt now work with staves.
I think that's it in a nutshell atm.
