Quote from ANN:
Plot Summary: Thanks to the development of the Dyson Sphere, The majority of the human populace lives in space. The Dorssia Military Federation, and the Atlantic Rim United States exist as major Military countries, while JOIR is a neutral principality, the story follows Haruto Tokishima as a normal boy going thru high school in T.C (True Calendar) year 71. This all changes when Haruto meets the humanoid weapon Valvrave.
Didn't see a thread for this yet [S]that or I'm blind[/S], so I guess I'll make one. Among the three mecha anime this season, I'm enjoying this one the most in terms of what you'd expect from a mecha anime. I'll admit it has the usual cliches, but I can't ague that I'm having fun watching it.

I'm enjoying myself (I even pre ordered that Valavrave 1 model kit). It really seemed like a typical Gundam series at first, but, then all of a sudden...
Body swapping vampires.
A lot of things here are shared with Gundam SEED, especially the bishonen guys. They're extremely similar to the Le Cruset Team, that dude even
got a facial injury in ep2 and was determined to get revenge just like Yzak was with Kira in Seed
, and there's a few other things too. At least Haruto isn't a little bitch like Kira was, he manned up quite fast.
Yeah, it's gonna be a glorious train wreck like Code Geass. Did I mention that the writer for Code Geass is the writer for Valvrave? Cuz' he is.
I'm still enjoying myself though.

Have to take note of this. I need to watch anime again.

I feel pretty annoyed at myself for not anticipating the cliches, yet I can't really blame them nor hate them for it. It's still been pretty fun for me to watch.
I mean, I should have known Shoko's plot armor would kick in for her to miraculously survive with that car and all. That, and how Haruto wouldn't be able to bring himself to confess to her now that he's a [S]mechavampire[/S] "monster". Well, I suppose had it happened otherwise we wouldn't have our proper love triangle and character development for the later episodes.
L'Elf's situation also looks pretty interesting to watch. It doesn't look like his comrades are going to give him a chance to explain himself without trying to kill him first.
Also that opening. T.M. Revolution never disappoints.

You know, I should have known all along
if someone doesn't explicitly die on screen in anime, they're probably alive. I should know this shit from reading Bleach.
For once I feigned from this line of thought, and I have been proven wrong.
Though, I have to wonder
why did she take so long to call him?
My guess is that
Immediately after the blast she was knocked unconscious. Watching it again, the man who was in the car with her had a head injury with some bleeding. By the time she woke up she probably attempted calling Haruto while body swapped, and the Space Nazis somehow didn't notice his phone was ringing.
Still, there's more to it that doesn't make sense, for example :
He's got his freaking phone on mute.
I love [s]wet[/s] Shouko...
The show is hilariously bad that it's good.
/finds the only person who knows how to work machines
/that person only needed to press a big red button to fix everything.
/plot.
At least it's colorful and has nice character designs.

I still love this anime. Suffering, body-jacking, Shoko being an idiot, over the top antics, bitter sweet coffee combo, supernatural char-clone and all. This is my favorite anime this season.
Also, dat' cliffhanger ending. We Code Geass now.
