fn Key

  So, my F1-F12 buttons have secondary functions (controlling volume, fast forward, rewind, turn wifi on/off, etc.) The problem is that rather than pushing the fn key to activate these secondary functions I have to push the fn key to deactivate them. So if I'm playing Mabi and want to use my F7 skill, I have to push fn first. That may not seem like a big deal, but that extra button push can get you killed in a fight. And you have to push it every time, it's not like caps lock where you just push it once and it stays on.
  
  So is there any way to change this? <<; Maybe reverse it so I have to press fn to change the volume rather than pressing fn to NOT change the volume?

  Check the maker's website. Should be a software thingy for it there.

  You can also change it via BIOS options, since it's a hardware issue.
  
  You'll need to access the BIOS options by pressing the appropriate key when booting up your computer, then look for an option that's somewhere on the line of "Function Key".
