If straight was the gay of the world, the human population would be significantly lower than it is today. Hell, we'd probably all be extinct. How could you possibly ostracize the people you depend on for your race's survival? Also, I get what their trying to do with this, but it's so ham-fisted, it's hard to take it seriously.

Except that our current population is actually getting too large, not too small, so having more LGBT folks would actually be a good thing in that sense. Not to mention that you could easily get a sperm donor and/or surrogate if you wanted to have a biological child, although that only works for one of the two people in the relationship.

Though, they are currently working on various different techniques to produce biological children from both same-sex parents. And let's not forget that some people-- regardless of sex and sexual orientation-- have no interest in having kids. Or they simply cannot have any.

So population isn't an issue no matter what way you look at it.

Of course.

It's really sad that people have to go through shit like that, but things are definitively getting better for gay people as of late, at least in first-world countries (and a few third-world-countries, south-america specifically), the US seems to be the worst one at that though.
