Best Network Adapter?

And since it'll be at least 3 months till I get one, I'd like a little insight on the best ones I can get.

Best for what? Chances are that whatever you upgrade to won't get you much better performance, unless your current adapter just sucks. For most people, I'd recommend something simple but good, such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106033

That will is perfect for pretty much everything you can possibly be doing at home.

Unless you're asking about a USB LAN or wifi adapters?

Why do people assume that automatically when I say network adapter?
If I wanted a new network card, I would have said card...lol

Yeah the proper technical term for those is a network adapter.

For the others pretty much anything you find on newegg will work just fine.
