It's definitely worth that and more even if I don't think it compares to its prequels.

How it is sad?
The game got good reviews and the fans were satisfied with it.

The game wasn't financially successful as Squeenix wanted all they have to do is lower the costs to make the game.

If I was a publisher and a franchise I published didn't make enough money, why would I want to publish a new installment of the series? It's nice to have generally positive reviews, but as a business, money would matter to me most.

That being said, I have no doubt that Hitman:Absolution is a great game (still need to play Blood Money when I have the time). I do agree with you that their projected sales figures were too damn high and that they need to tone down on their budget, but at what expense? I just hope that their sales figures won't stop Square Enix from publishing some interesting games. I still need to buy Sleeping Dogs.

Because you gave them too much money?

Do you know how much it cost to make Resident Evil 6? 4.9 million.
It's still failed to meet it's expectation. Do you think that's okay?

Obviously pumping more money into video games doesn't make them better.
