So I'm having trouble with what I think is my wireless router. Last night, my internet connection was going in and out and the only way I could remedy that was to unplug my modem and my router and plug it back in. But eventually that didn't work at all and now it won't connect at all.
When I use the modem as a standalone, the internet came back and stayed but as soon as I plugged it back into the wireless router, it won't kapoof.
But the router itself seems to be working since for it's still sending out a signal to most of my devices. It just won't connect.
I don't know jack squat about computer besides from art programs and browsing the internet. I googled stuff for a solution but couldn't understand most of what people were saying.
So if anyone can help, I would appreciate it o uo

I had the same issue until yesterday but this can be from various issues.
How are you connecting to the internet? Wireless or cable?
Also do you have the latest firmware?

Wireless I believe. I use a Belkin G Wireless Router but I don't know the model. And yeah, it was working fine until last night. Haven't done anything different.
Not sure about the firmware though. I didn't even know that could be updated and stuff. Which means I have no idea where to start.

Yeah, if I just connect the modem to the desktop using the cable, it's fine. (Though that might not be what you mean?)
The problem happens when I connect the modem along side with the router and at that point, it goes kapoot. On the modem itself though, it still says (the little light) it's connected to the internet. The router still sends out an signal but you can't connect with it.

In that case it could be your wireless adapter on your computer, and not necessarily your modem.
