This is my first art contest and I have plenty more to come! Since this is my first contest the deadline might seem a bit long and the prize might seem a little bit low but I'll increase it if there is enough participants.
Rules:
1. Any art program may be used
2. You may only submit one picture
3. You must list your server and ign with the picture
4. I will be the judge and I will have guildie inputs on deciding the best picture but overall I get the final say
Prize:
Grand Prize (1 person): 25k nx
Runners up (2 people will be selected): 10k nx
Deadline:
June 15th 11:59 PM EDT

(You may change the boots and gloves to whatever suits your drawing but they must be black or white and you can only change those. You may not change the hair, eyes, mouth, and robe)
Here are some options I would like to see:
1. My character holding the mask
2. Making my character have an evil or ominous background
You do not have to use these options they are just my ideas, they will not benefit you in winning so you may do what you want. Also please give me feedback on the deadline so I can shorten it or make it longer for the next contest.
All submissions go on the nexon forums:
http://mabinogi.nexon.net/Community/forums#%2Fshowthread.php%3F862231-All-Servers-Art-Contest!%26nxid%3D10
Also the drawing can be half body, full body, 2/3 body. Whatever you think that will help you win!

This...is pretty clever when you think about it.

What do you mean?

The nature of an art contest means that any person who didn't win will have worked for free. Essentially, this means that the contest holder will end up with a bunch of free art (minus the one who gets paid) of their character. Therefore, clever. Pay for one piece, get a bunch.
Of course, some people will do it just for fun, or some kind of recognition, not necessarily the prize.

Ah I see. I will only be using the piece that wins and if I decide to use another piece I will send them a note with a 10k nx.

I think a weekly challege system like pixeljoint has would be better where the art piece is based on a theme and then everyone can vote for three pieces of art max. No prizes either ofc.
Admit it OP, you just wanted cheap and free art of your own character. You even had an idea of how your character would be drawn as well.

Still not sure how OP feels justified. Even i'd feel bad, and my standards are low.

This is mainly why, during my own contests, I always end up giving a prize to everyone who participated, even if I wasn't fond of their entry.
Of course that's why I've only ever done two contests...
