Cool down time. With IS you can load it extremely fast and spam it.

True, my argument is that IS should not let you hit through it like everyone wants. Frozen blast is MADE for that, IS wasn't. IS hits multiple targets in a line and can spread if a mob dies while in it's icy grasp. If you allowed for people to hit through it (Yes i know flame hits through it but eh) you could have it spread almost infantly in a room no mater the dificulty just with people WM spamming, and if it doesn't, you could load one up within a second to try again.
Alch IS lets you hit through it because it doesn't have full dmg, takes a good while to load no mater how many charges (now that it's been changed to require 5 charges to make a crystal anyway...lol) so it's not spam able.

I only wish you could hit through it for at least reduced damage so people won't whine and complain at me when I use it in a mission/dungeon. Which is annoying because at my level it's my only R1 move, thus my only sufficient way to dish out damage.
Point is, the last post was a joke, I didn't expect to make it "IS really needs a way to make people stop complaining nonstop" .thred

XD only thing I use for mana crystalization is ice mines as anti-leeching weapons. I'd also like to see if they were changed.

Elemental Wave FB hits targets all around you. It's exactly what you're describing with IS, but it also reduces def/prot and allows attacking. The difference is it has a large cooldown.

And does the Golden Time duration extension mean you have "insert more time here" to use an elemental wave skill?

Probably like Instant Cast. It lasts a long time, despite you only just popping it once really quick.
