My question is why do these dang things even exist? I mean...What's the point? The crystals have, and always will, be inferior to pretty much everything else. The concept was decent at first, but they just have like no use except to mess around.
Yet these crystals continue to exist, taking up the position as mission 'rewards'. :I
A long time ago, I used to abuse rank 1 Ice Spear Crystals in lower level missions (since adv and hard were rare, most people did basic).
A well placed rank 1 ice spear can destroy waves since it never degraded.
I even used them a lot during theatre missions with fortinbras expedition since it was non elemental and spread like wild fire.

i use those crystals to for helping lowered people out with SMs or generations. Ice mines however have plenty of uses especially if you use flame burst. honestly i wish more alchemy like ice mines existed, like alchemy bombs or something. However i think its dumb MC crystals end up in SM reward chests xP
Edit: guess it should be noted that i dont have any int magic either. my r2 MC is the closest i have for int magic AOE thats why i use it to help lower leveled people

Anyone know if you can use the crystals in Baol Infil? Because if so, rank 1 crystals would probably be OP in there.

The only benefit of mana crystallization I could see is locking down a target with IS during party play, since according to the wiki you can attack frozen mobs if the MC version of IS is used.
.... or you could just use rF puppets snare.

Flame burst completely by passes IS freeze effect and can cause damage to mobs. The only draw back to this is that the monsters get position lagged and freed from the ice so you'll be beaten savagely by an invisible monster until the ice shatters.
I THINK, you can attack the ice speared monster that's been hit by flame burst, I've seen someone smash the mob I hit with flame burst before but I am not 100% certain.

XD I've seen the video of where a normal IS is capped as 16 chains. Anyone tried a r1 MCed IS on mongooses in Iria yet?

Replace Mana crystallization with Ice mine mastery.
Its Water, Wind and Earth elemental.

Then next thing we'll be seeing sinkholes, fire traps and tesla coils.

We already have Tesla Coils. :Q
It's called shock where we basically use an enemy or ally as if they were Tesla Coils. xD

Hmm... any installable mine version where it's not based on my skill rank so I don't have to spend a ton of ap in it? XP

:sigh: I like how they just decided to ignore all the gimmicky skills like Enthralling Performance, Tower Cylinders, Ice Mines, and Mana Crystalization...
