holy shit that movie was great. I really can't understand why critics hated it so much. on RT, audience gave the film over 80+%, yet the critics gave it 59%.
Whatever~
That movie gave me all kinds of feels. Especially Kevin Costner.
What did you guys think?

Why do people listen to critics? Critics are the most invalid job on the planet, telling people their opinion and getting paid for it, when anyone else is supposed to have their own opinions.

The idea is that those people would know better than you. Your job is to pick one that has a compatible taste, then.
I kind of wanna see this movie. I wonder if the theatres are packed today...

I went to watch After Earth instead. What a fucking mistake that was. At least Fast 6 and Hangover 3 was good.

I came in expecting action, and I got action, so I liked it. Yeah, it wasn't big on character development for most of the characters not named Superman, but it's an origin story condensed into 2 and a half hours. I didn't mind, but I guess a lot of Superman fanatics did.

Im one of those that wasn't impressed about the movie.
My Reason:
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]
It was great in the beginning, a good setup. However when they got into the series of flashbacks, I started feeling iffy about the movie. It felt like im going back and forward repeatedly with all their flashbacks, I was out of place. Superman 's character was very annoying. Also the love between Superman and Lois Lane was felt forced, Lois felt so... bland. When they got to the action scene near the end, I really didnt care about the CG at that point. I was already ready to sleep after the long chitchat and flashback scenes. I wasn't in the mood to finish watching the movie, I was waiting for it to be over.
Even with the full crowd, had about 4-5 people leaving, people laughing and chattering about some of the scenes. At the end of the movie, some groups sat around questioning themselves if the movie was worth it.
But in the beginning I had the feeling the movie would look cheesy, after watching I didnt expect it to be more cheesy. Also even wearing his underwear under the jumpsuit, his outfit looks funny~

That's not it Osay, their job is to give you their opinion to save you the trouble of forming your own opinion. They save time for you because if they say something is bad, you will save a lot of time by ignoring said movie or game. On the other hand if you have to buy the game or movie, see it then decide it's bad, it's much more time consuming and expensive than reading a review.

Superman : "I'll save the city by destroying 90% of it."
According to Watson’s study, the human cost would amount to 129,000 dead, 250,000 missing and a whole one million people injured. With the two-man tussle akin to a 20 kiloton nuclear explosion, the physical damage to Metropolis comes to $700 billion by Watson’s estimates, with a grand total of a $2 trillion cost in damages. Comparing the Man of Steel carnage to the nuking of Nagasaki, Watson pointed out that 9/11, in comparison, had an economic impact of $123 billion.

Fight scenes were cool though, liked that female kryptonian.

If you're looking for Classic Superman or good story, don't bother with this movie.
If you want to see some guy that sorta looks like superman and has the same powers as him(while having a totally different personality and set of morals) blow random shit up and kill thousands of people, watch this movie.
