  I'm starting to think Achievements matter a whole lot more than Alchemy ranks.

  I doubt achievements are the only thing, I have like 1400 points of achievement over here. But my ranks in alchemy are considered terrible in comparison to a lot of the hardcore people here. I have only R1 Alchemy Mastery and Barrier Spikes, and like what Rank B Spark, Rank C Synthesis, Rank 4 Golem. Just not willing to pump points into combat alchemy (except golem) until I'm fully done with melee/range.
  
  Number and standards of applicants may also apply, because on the less populated servers people with lettered rank alchemy skills got the position in the first 4 weeks of release.

  It does seem like there was an overestimation of applicants.
  I still wouldn't have made it since I have Rank F Alchemy Mastery though. XD

  To be honest, I think a lot of high-lvls didn't apply. I'm fairly certain more than 100 applications were made on each server.
  
  Like... I guess some people thought it'd be 30% high-lvls and 70% the rest.
  
  From what I've seen today, it seems more like 5-10% high-lvls applied, and then the rest.
  
  Which is unusual to me, since Royal Alchemists can net in a lot of EXP for leveling. Also, it's not hard to maintain 60 Royal Alchemist points either.

  Rank 1 Flame burst
  Rank 1 Barrier spike
  Rank 5 Alchemy mastery
  Rank 6 Life drain
  Rank 7 Frozen blast
  Rank 8 Summon golem
  Rank 9 Sand burst
  The rest in the letter rank

  I don't even know how I ended up getting it actually. Rank A Mastery with Rank 5 mana crystalization and Rank A Water Cannon is about all I have to my in in terms of alchemy. I also have B ranked Synthesis.

  I'm lvl 66, and just turned 18. Partially thanks to grinding for alch mastery and partially due to the huge influx of missions from being a Royal Alchemist.
