Need Help with Manual Patching

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. So according to this very old guide on manual patching, it mentioned to use themabiver.exe for the last step. I've tried ran the program via command prompt, but it didn't show up even though it showed up in task manager.

I've got the make the patch thing sorted, which i have to start from r145 all the way to r155. But however, I copied my patch into my clean mabi folder, and started the nexon patcher. It then starts to patch r155 instead the the for r146.

Any help and knowledge would be much appreciated.

For the last step, you can download a hex editor like wxHexEditor to edit your version.dat file. Just open version.dat with the editor and replace the number you see with the hexadecimal value of the patch number (155 would be 9B, 145 would be 91). This file just tells the patcher which version to start patching from (the xx part of the xx_to_yy.pack).

I'm assuming you are trying to manually patch your r145 client to r155 and tricking the patcher to think you've already patched. If that's the case, once you pasted the contents of all the zip files you created from using "copy /B xx_to_yy.0+.." to your mabi directory, edit version.dat to 9B. One extra step you need to take is download 155_language.p_ from the ftp, rename .p_ to .zip, and extract language.pack into your package folder in mabi directory.

If you're simply rolling back your client to r145, you just need to edit version.dat to 145 (91 in hex) and let the patcher redo the patch.
