Wow, it's still that popular? I'm guessing that has something to do with Nexon Korea's customer service vs. Nexon North America's.
Hell no, korea has a larger gaming culture than NA.
Service has absolutely nothing to do with it at all.

I'm aware about the gaming culture. I'm just surprised that Mabinogi has retained so many loyal gamers despite the game being this old. I feel like some of the reason for has to do with the disparity in customer service.

I love how someone did Peaca lower? boss. Other notable ones like the Ice Spearing Mage.
I noticed Hue was extremely popular to cosplay, there were like 2-3 of them doing him.

I thought the Tarlach cosplay with the bear plush was adorable. My favorite had to be either one of the Huws or Shamala.
I really wonder what kinds of things they were selling at the event. I thought I saw a mug in the display case and a few other things.

Mabinogi in KR is doing extremely well. NA is doing good too, it's just that it isn't as big as KR, but NA has a stable population.

Everything, from cosplay outfits you can buy, to accessories, mabinogi notepads, phone covers, figurines, and even signatures.

Maplestory is like older than Mabinogi and it still very popular.
Also Mabinogi have no level cap, so there people that been playing for 8 year+ and still have something to gain.

Want to go deeper, Runescape knows how old it is and look at the population still playing that game.
A game's age means nothing, other than that it's just "old", what keeps it alive is population and fandom.
Even if an MMO is 30+ years old, if it still has a large playing population, it'll still be there, granted people will complain its bad graphics and engine. xD

So you could literally buy a replica Hebona robe? Or an Elatha puppet? Or a cylinder?! It just makes me wish Nexon could do stuff like this at conventions. I don't think they could though....could they?

Well, there are limitations in the catalog.
But some players there, though I dunno if they are doing it illegally, were selling handmade cosplay outfits and items. One in particular in the KR fan forums was a guy who were selling cosplay replicas of mabinogi weapons, including cylinders and demon weapons.
Oh, and apparently, ID exchanging was quite popular to form connections (by ID exchange, basically find each other's characters on mabinogi).

It could've been illegal unless they have permission from devCAT and/or Nexon (though I believe mostly devCAT) because it's copyrighted material. It's the same reason why you can't sell handmade Homestuck cosplays. It's not official and against copyright.
Side note: Anybody know what's in the little baggies? I assume coupon codes and codes for the exclusive outfit. Just a guess though.

We'll probably see it, it'd just probably be a character card or gachapon.
