Hello, It's nice to meet you all! I was looking into playing mabinogi, however I have not played since CBT and I don't think I played for very long. I want to give mabi my full attention, I've been reading a lot of information on the wiki the past few days and the game looks like it has tons of content.
Are the newbie guides here still good to follow in the guide section? I'm scared I might ruin my struggle with my character due to out dated information.
I hear there are players that are like level5000+ Is it too late to join in and have fun playing mabi?
Any tips for a new player? Should I start on Alexina.. I can't decide on a server :<
Sorry if there are a lot of questions. Also I'm happy to meet you all!! :3

Welcome to this place :awesome:
Pretty sure most of the guides still work.
Most people will tell you to join their server, but you should just close your eyes and click one.

Just because there are high lvl people out there, it doesn't mean you can't start and have fun. :)
I've had a high level character on Ruairi and I've restarted on Alexina for fun, so I can tell you this from experience. :P

There's plenty of people starting new or making new characters all the time. There are a lot of really high levelled players, but you don't have to be intimidated by that. Just play the game at your own pace and have fun~

Hey there!
As long as you are a nice person and don't go begging around, people will help.
Just remember, theres a difference between "Hey, Could you help me with _____ if you're not busy?" and "you gotta help me with this come on dude plz plz plz".
First impressions are important.
Use the search function on the forum often, it's very helpful for new and old players alike.
If you ever need help with anything, don't be afraid to ask for it, especially on nation. Chances are, someone here WILL help you out if you ask for it politely.
Have fun with your new fantasy life >:D
P.S. Ruari is the best! :D (Just pick a server randomly, they all have great people)

I believe there are some that are still applicable if you dig around for a bit, like a
daily rebirth guide that may come in useful at the beginning. Albeit some information may be a little outdated in some places...
Mabinogi World Wiki is also your best friend when it comes to getting most of your questions answered, as you already know if its existence.
Don't let high-levelled players discourage you from playing, because those people were also where you are currently at one point, and you may eventually get to where they are if you keep working your way up. Good luck. x]

Thank you for all the warm greetings!!, I don't like having to rely on others ( I hate being a pest ) That is why I like guides, if they all work fully than i'll be reading most of them! Now that I'm home from work i'll probably make a character and start hitting up the guides!!! ~See you all maybe~:thumb::point:

1.Yes, Just about every guide you see here is still relevant.
2. It is never to late to join in on the fun. It is a lot easier to progress in the game now due to reforges, talents, double rainbows (double ap), tutorials.
3. Rank windmill as early as you can. Any Server is fine, Talarch and Ruari are on the lower population side. So it may be harder to meet people your level?
Also some more advice, find a group of players that you can see yourself playing with more than once. Starting out as a newbie with friends makes the game easier and 1000 times more fun and adds to the longevity
