What are your opinions on the new nexus and the new android update?

The only reason I'm not buying this yet is because of the lack of an SD port. If the older one drops in price, I may get that one.

SD cards are kinda overrated, imo. 16 GB is plenty. 32 GB is more than plenty. But to each their own. I'm not really into tablets myself.
Really looking forward to getting the new Android update on my Nexus 4, though. I've been reading about the under the hood changes being made to the OS months ago, and it's cool that we're finally getting them. Just gotta wait for the OTA update to arrive.

Well, easier to transfer huge amounts of data from one phone to another if you have an sd card. Also applies to the same phone if you want to swap a second sd card for something like say you had games, movies or songs preloaded into a different card.

Get with the times guys, stock android doesn't support SD cards for apps anymore, and Google removed SD cards from all nexus devices starting way back with the Nexus S.
And as previously stated, 16/32GB is plenty for current devices. Hell, I haven't used 8GB yet on my phone. The -only- things that take up more room on modern phones are games or huge libraries of movies/music. And for those, you can't install games on SD anyway, even on devices you can install to SD I've found games to be more prone to bugs when installed to SD, and for movies / music streaming. If you're going to argue that your carrier limits you to x number of GB/month, blame the carrier. Most every prepaid carrier, T-Mobile, and Sprint in the USA all have unlimited plans. And let's also remember T-mobile's 2G is as fast as Sprint and Verizon's 3G.
So any points left for discussion / argument?

@Evaris
You mean there's no GB limit/month for some US carrier...?
Gosh I pay 50$/month and I only have 1GB.

Both Sprint and T-Mobile have Unlimited 4G data starting at $70/mo on T-mobile, $80 on sprint with unlimited tethering. Then T-Mobile gives you unlimited 3G past whatever you use on their lower data tier plans which start at $50 for post paid, and T-mobile has a prepaid plan for $30 / mo that has 5GB of 4G data, unlimited texts, but just 500 minutes of calls/month.

I pay the same and get 0.5GB.

I pay 30/mo for unlimited province-wide calling, data and texting. Well, I also have an extra add-on (+8/mo) for unlimited international texting and cheap calling because I have friends that I text in the US sometimes. )x

I pay about $50/mo for unlimited text, 500MB of data, and 200 something minutes of calling (unlimited weekends and evenings). Where do I sign up?

That's to be expected. Wind Mobile apparently has a partnership with Videotron.
