There are many organizations out there that try to get girls interested in technology careers. I volunteered for one of them. Just saying. :)

That's such a sweeping generalization.

I've practically never run into any girls that like shopping any more than guys. And hey, can you blame them all? Who doesn't like getting stuff? If anything, tech guys are way more into shopping than the general population. They still buy the stuff everyone else buys, but then what happens if a new phone, computer, peripheral or program/game comes out? See what I mean? If anything, we're the "consumerist whores", so to speak. And I'm perfectly comfortable with that. I love my stuff.
