Well, my opinion is that women have it somewhat easier when it comes to legal issues.
Most other stuff is in the men's favour.
But I have no idea about a lot of stuff.

I'll just run through thoughts and than I'll just decide after looking through my points and everyone elses'.
When comparing the average joe for both sex in terms of social life, I see that men usually seem to keep some amount of friends in their "friend circle", where males tend to have a moderate amount of friends. I see that females tends to have many friends, more than their male counterpart but loses/gains friends more easily than males. Seems on par with me.
In terms of pressure from society, I see that males, have a somewhat less pressure early on in their lives, but as they get older, they have to support what is their's, be it family, kids, wife, ect., they start realizing this pressure. On the flip side for females, it seems that they get pressure early on for being a "good kid" or to be aesthetically pleasing in their younger years and this causes pressure to them. When they get older, they have more responsibilities as well such as taking care of the family, working at a job to earn more money, ect. Some of this won't be new to them since they were in their younger years, in the same environment they are going to face. On the other hand, the job thing could definitely be new to them. Seems like females have a slightly harder time from society.
I won't even go into love since it's something I never touched on and I feel is ambiguous, but I'll give it to the males for having a harder time based on people's opinion =P
I think they're about even, but I'm going to say that females might have it slightly harder since there is still sexism towards female and it's seems alot more frequent in our society nowadays.
... Will think about this at sleep.

How is it sexist? ._.
And this thread is about the majority, and what usually happens. Also stereotypes.

Stereotypes are sexist and racist.

Like how the mother will pretty much always win a custody battle after a divorce. Even if she's super crazy while the husband is normal and putting up with all her BS.

That's not strictly because of gender though ._.
And mothering instincts are typically stronger than the father's.
I mean, the mother went through 9 months of walking around as a balloon, and then childbirth.
So many places in nature, not just people -> animals -> mothers take care of young and fathers go off somewhere else.

The woman being in labor is irrelevant. It doesn't matter that she suffered through all of that, when you're deciding custody of a child their well-being and future is at stake. I wouldn't shift a major decision towards either side just because one person was a balloon while the other person just had to put up with her mood swings, food cravings, and other irregular behavior.
I mentioned that the mother was crazy. As in threatening her kid to make sure she "behaves." Screaming at the dad for pretty much every reason she could think of. This is an example from within my family. I was actually accused of practicing black magic and attempting to break up her perfect little world. Apparently, that's the only reason I would play with my little cousin.
And saying fathers don't have parental instincts is also discriminatory. There are people who have much higher views of their father than their mother, and it's not that uncommon. They may not pamper their kids or watch over them like a hawk, but that doesn't make them any less of a parent.
