List your favourite Top 3 sports anime/manga, it can be fictional sports or games in general (I consider Yu Gi Oh a sport because it is a competitive game with clear winner and loser, and tournaments and stuff).

My Top 3:

1. Slam Dunk

I grew up with this anime. It is the first sport anime I saw and from what I hear it pioneered the genre, and is the first success of its kind. Slam Dunk combined comedy with drama, the anime's incredible usage of bullet time made the action much more intense. The characters are all very unique and interesting. Slam Dunk manage to make everyone in Shouhoku team lovable and cool. [SIZE="2"]and Sendou is my first man crush... no homo.[/SIZE]

I loved the anime so much, I finished the manga. I love the manga's ending, it was not what I expected but somehow fitting.

2. Eyeshield 21.

I am going to be honest with you guys, I didn't watch this anime for Sena. Sena has his moments but I watched this show (and read the mange) for one person - Yoichi Hiruma. He is what made this show for me. Football is a mind game, and nobody plays it better than Hiruma. Hiruma manages to use whatever resources given to him and make it work. He is the kind of guy who can use a stick and rock and end up with a grenade. Unlike Slam Dunk, Eyeshield 21 has more emphasis on the actual game than characters. Trick play like the time where Daimon must score a touch down in 1 minute and somehow Hiruma used that minute and scored a touch down. It was amazing.

Slam Dunk is good, but Inoue ended it really soon. It's fine since Vagabond and REAL are both really good seinen manga.

Eyeshield 21 is enjoyable but the final arc was really bad.

That said, Slam Dunk and REAL are pretty much the top sports manga.

Prince of Tennis I thought was pretty cool, even though everybody I knew hated it. I think it was because I played tennis that I liked this anime at all. I would try out the techniques they did on the show when I played. Some didn't work out. Think I twisted a finger [S]claw[/S] trying to do this crazy snake serve thing.

Basquash was really awesome. I dislike basketballl, but Basquash somehow kept me entertained. It wasn't even the boobs. It was kinda the boobs. But something about giant robots playing basketball on a scale of Gurren Lagann made me wanting more.

I like what you guys posted so far... I fucking love Ippo, Slamdunk, and Eyeshield 21. Hell, most filipinos are in love with Ippo (probably due to Manny Pacquiao's popularity) and Slamdunk (basketball is the national sport). I've read so a lot of series since I'm into sports...

Kuroko and Prince of Tennis are good, but too shounen/superpower-ish.
Baby Steps has been so fucking amazing so far.
Real needs more updates.
Initial D is so fucking slow (current race on Batoto is taking forever).
Buyuden is decent, but nothing new.
Kurogane is cool, but cancelled.
Kokou no Hito is intense, you should read it for the psychological aspect.
RRR is also pretty good.

I can't remember much else. I've also read a lot of Mitsuri Adachi's work, but I can't name one at the top of my head. I know I enjoyed a boxing and a baseball one.
